Help please experts, I've OV'd and I need to decide when to take my progesterone..

I do appreciate your honest answer but come on I'm talking to the turkey baster here lol!! (Rewind a few months!)

Hey! I would like to just clarify that i had a confirmed lack of sperm! And no lasting effects! ;)

Please tell me I'm not crazy??

Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh :wall2:

Your not crazy Maybe. Or maybe both of us are

I think i'd be doing the same if i was in your situation. It's different when it's me because i have control over me and can deal with the consequences.

I just don't want to see you upset if it all goes a bit wrong because then i'll feel a bit responsible for encouraging you.

Your right though. I think all in all the aim is to get a baby and if your cycle isn't working well enough to hold onto a pregnancy then it's no good it being regular anyway...

You know i'd LOVE for you to get a sticky BFP ;) Good luck!

Ohhhhh sounds good hun :)

Esperenza had loads of ewcm the month she got her bfp so its all good news.

Would be lovely if you got your bfp xxx

Thanks Lou and Vic,

Lou I understand what you're saying but I think I've got nothing to lose, apart from my sanity of course but that's fine. :eh:

I can deal with BFNs and chemicals too I'm used to it now and to be honest my cycles are squiffy anyway lol!

xx

Maybe,I know what you mean about not having anything to lose. I was taking progesterone in LP on my own accord (well, it was prescribed to me in a diffrent country but not here) and I dont regret I did it.
I did chart and use OPKs to determine OV as didnt want to take it too early or at least see what was going on. I had really whacky cycles and wouldnt have AF until I would bring it on with progeterone. Actually taking progesterone seemed to have put my cycles back on track and I obviously ovulated.

It is not a panacea but it worked for me and I know my body better than any doctor, they just wouldnt believe me

Hi Hun,

I'm glad you said that, I feel like showing the bloody fertility nurse that I annoy for wanting an explanation for everything who says that I haven't had confirmed pregnancy, like I bloody made them up for a laugh.

I have always thought progesterone was an issue as I was on Dianette for years and I'm going to trust my instincts.

Thanks so much for all your advice.:)

xx

I was on Dianette as well and believe it screwed me in the first place tbh.

Screw the nurse, you know what's going on with your body better than her.

Yep I agree it has a lot to answer for!

Anyway, it's in!! :shock::shock:

No going back now...

Praying it works!

xx

Good luck Maybe :good:

Are you doing them twice per day?

You'll have to let me know how to minimise leakage - was it difficult to get it in place wedged at your cervix?

Thanks Lou,

Well I kind of put it up behind my cervix, no leakage so far but I checked the loo to make sure it didn't fall out when I went for a pee!

I'm giving it time to melt before I go out though!

xx

I was actually doing once a day- at night, was easier that way, plus doctor said to do so. I believe progesterone absorbs within 15 mins of so and you will still get leakage - it's just the fat basically. Eww

Ah well that's pretty good :) some girls seems to need panty liners... I don't think I've ever used a liner lol

Hi Lou,

No liner so far, it's not oily, it kind of makes a cream a bit like savlon, you get white bits in the water when you pee though, that's a bit gross.

xx

What do you reckon to having a bath, will I wash it all away?

xx

I wouldn't have a bath right after one, but I would soon before the next one :)

I'll have to see aborption rates but I think it's fairly quick :)

Eww I'm going off the pessaries now Girls, they're a bit itchy!

They're not too bad just a bit annoying.

xx

Weird, it wasn't itchy for me at all. Are you going to try taking them orally?

They're not too bad Hun, hopefully I'll get used to them, I'm gonna stick with vaginal, I hear they're more effective that way.

xx

Just to keep you informed i've had no symptoms from the progesterone Lou.

xx

That's good to know :)

The possible side effects seem to be the whole spectrum of what someone might go through at any one time during their cycle... or pregnancy too now i think of it lol
