Cycle #1 Begins....

Down regulation is just horrible, I felt miserable too, was better once stimming. Only one week for your scan and hopefully stims can start xx

It can't come soon enough lol. I'm breaking the week long wait up a bit.... I'm out for a friends birthday on Friday night, so that's the next thing to look forward to then the scan is only a few days after that. All my scans and blood tests are early appointments at 8.30am so that's good xx

I keep getting some discomfort/light cramping, kind of like Ovulation feeling. Did anyone else have this while DRing? I'm on day 20 today. My scan is on Wednesday and I would have just finished my 'natural' fertile window. Worried that the DR is not going to have worked xx

I can't remember getting anything like that but I am sure its nothing to worry about. You have been getting side effects from down regulation so I would assume its working xx

I don't honestly remember if I did or not but the drugs do affect everyone differently so try not to read too much into it. I also don't think you can read your body as you normally would when you're taking artificial hormones. Good luck for Wednesday xxx

Thanks girls. I guess I will find out either way on Wednesday. I'm sure it is working, I'm just worrying over nothing. Such a testing time this IVF xx

I've worked out what it was...... TMI coming up. Constipation. Apparently it can be a side effect. All good now xx

Yay on to next stage. 300iu Gonal F starting tonight! X

Thanks girlies! Hope you're all doing ok?!

Just waiting for hubby to get home as he wants to do the first one with me. So around 8.30pm for this one. The nurse said it doesn't have to be the same time each day, so will aim for between 7.30pm & 9pm.

Did you guys just do once a day (evening)? I was thinking that i'd be doing them twice a day like the spray but the nurse said just once a day in the evening xx

Are you using the gonal f pen? I did and was on 225 a day and then up to 262.5 for the last few days. It was one injection with the pen in the evening (I had to do mine before 7pm - strange how they all have different rules isn't it!) and one injection of buserelin. It's nice that your oh wants to be involved, my oh used to set everything up and do all my injections. I think he liked being involved and doing something practical. Hope your first injection goes well xxx

I didnt have Gonal F I had menopur and Busereline and did them both in the evening one after the other, it was a pain too as neither were preloaded so had to draw up both x

I had 3 different injections to do and all had to be done in the morning. They said it had to be done within an hour of the time the day before. I was a control freak and did all mine myself, my OH had often gone to work by the time I did them anyway. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be but with having three a day I ran out of places to inject!! Hope it went ok xx

Yes using the Gonal F pen which is nice and easy. I'm on 300iu to start. On my first nurse appointment she said I was going to be on 225iu but when my schedule came through from Oxford it was amended to 300iu. I think I have quite a low reserve. It is strange how they differ. I take my spray at 7pm so will do the Gonal F at same time where I can. That's good that your hubby was involved with the injections, it's a big thing. My hubby is a teacher, so am going to all the scans by myself as he cant have the time off really. Obviously he'll have to do the EC appointment and hopefully he'll be able to do the transfer one too, so getting involved with some of the injections will be good xx

What a pain Sarah. I have It so lucky! I would be worrying about getting the doses right. Do you think you'll be on the same for your next cycle? Xx

I was so nervous, it was a relief that my trigger shot was a pre filled pen ha ha!
I think so, I had such a good response to the last cycle that on paper it was all good, so I think they would probably keep to same or very similar? x

Yeah I'm a bit of a control freak too lol

I was taking 2 squirts of the nasal spray twice a day (7am & 7pm) but now have to cut it down to 1 squirt twice a day. So only doing 1 spray in morning. Then 1 spray and 1 injection in the evening. So should be ok with space to inject as only one a day.

First one last night was actually better than expected. Was hesitant about putting it in as thought it would hurt/sting but actually didn't even feel it. Could feel the liquid going in a bit though which was strange xx

That must have been a breeze then! Haha.

Yeah if it looks good why change it. When do you think you'll start? Xx
