Last night.. was the worst night ever since my boy was a newborn!
I had about 2 hours and 45 minutes sleep. Im surprised he had any!

He's moving around soooo much in his sleep, he's getting himself stuck/banging head at the top of the cot. I mean I can pull him down, he'll be up top within the hour. Then sits ups up and screams, eventually can settle himself but will flop in half and wack his head again, or be up top and have same issue!

We have a standard size cot. Hopefully picking up a cotbed tomorrow, are they much more spacious? will it make a difference?! will he ever stop!? lol

Harper is very much the same at 14 months. I never know where she'll end up.

She tries to lay sidewards but she's too long so ends up with her legs in the air resting against the bars or scrunched up in a ball sidewards. Looks so uncomfortable.

I'm always hearing her knocking her head on the bars where she's moving about so much.

I hope she stops soon else she'll never be in a proper bed at this rate as she'll fall out all night..

Don't have a clue about the size of cotbeds, never thought of trying one of them! Let us know how you get on with if you get one. I might have to get one too! X

A cot bed will make no difference! My LO still wriggles and rolls around his now and he's almost two!

Well im hoping itll give him that little bit more space to roll from side or up and maybe stop half way! If not atleast take more time to get to the top haha.

I will update! My friend had a 1 yr old who says shes having same problem, just doesn't seem to have enough space in normal cot. x

My LG hated her cot from the word go. We struggled on with it for months with awful sleep. In the end, we had the brainwave that she was much happier in the travel cot (we had quite a nice big one), so we got a proper mattress that fit in it. She was much happier in this as she just bounced off the mesh sides.

At 13months though (around Christmas), she started climbing over the top . We gave up and put her in a bed, and TBH never looked back. She is so happy in her big girl bed and has gone to being an ace sleeper (finally!). I got a lot of doom and gloom from people over making the change "too early" but she doesn't do the yoyo thing, once she's settled, that's it until we hear her toddle through to us at 6.30-7am.

I knew she always hated the cot, it has just taken hindsight to realise how much! Don't be afraid to work outside the normal if its what suits you and your baby. x

Thanks guys. Well we've got the cot bed.. all put up.. hes fast asleep and its huge!

So hoping we'll see some difference.

Thanks Flisstebbs .. ill keep it in mind. Might suggest it to a friend I know whos having a nighmare with her 13month old. x
