corn snakes

has anyone got or had a corn snake? my sister has two and the other day she was feeding them and one of them got excited and bit her finger. then while it was eating it was rattling its tail! i saw and heard it for myself but when i told my boyf he didnt believe me, he said only rattle snakes do that. i think she said the breeder whom she bought from might not hav been the most reputable of breeders! is it possible she has a dodgy snake with a bit of rattlesnake dna in him?!
or do corn snakes rattle?!
