Conceiving after miscarriage, how soon?

I had a miscarriage last month at 5weeks 6days. I was told at the hospital we could start ttc again straight away and didn't even need to wait for a period. Personally I thought it would be best to wait for a period so at least we would have a better idea of dates. It has now been three weeks and although we haven't been actively trying, we also haven't been doing anything to avoid pregnancy so I think there is a good chance that (if I have even ovulated) I could be/become pregnant even before a first period.

I was just wondering how soon after a miscarriage others have conceived?

Hi, sorry for your loss. We were also told we could try straight away without waiting for a first period. We didn't wait and ttc straight after. We are now 8 months after mc and no joy yet. It took us a long time for our first bfp and I'm hoping it won't be as long this time.

So sorry for your loss. I wanted until I'd had one period and fell pregnant the month after. We weren't even properly trying that month either. Good luck xx

I got told to wait a couple of months when i miscarried, i concieved roughly a year later x

I got told we didn't have to wait to ttc but was best to give it a couple of months. I think this is mainly because I lost a lot of blood during the labour and was on iron tablets for 6 weeks.

Our baby was born on 6th May and I fell pregnant again at the very end of September the same year. We weren't trying much before that as I was a bit put off after the last experience.

I've had some complications in this pregnancy but baby is healthy and things seem to be going well at the moment

I got told after miscarriage to wait till first period to start trying again.
I had surgical removal on the 12th jan and Had first period 12th feb and then on March cycle I caught I'm currently 4w 5days

I had 2 periods before I conceived again it took around 13 weeks! I was surprised it was so quick!

Miscarried oct, period returned dec, another in jan and a bfp in feb xxx

I was told I could TTC again straight away... Which was a shock as I'm sure the ectopic pregnancy website said to wait at least 2 cycles post surgery. We're not planning to TTC again just yet anyway, although I would love too. I think we're going to wait about 5-6 months to give my body a proper chance to heal.

I had my mc in July last year, sadly still not pregnant yet!

I conceived Oct 2014 but had mmc which was medically managed and i mc 7th Dec. Took till xmas eve to get neg npt.
I had periods in Jan and Feb and conceived at end of Feb and am now 10 wks pregnant.
Only took me 2 cycles to conceive first attempt too so dunno if that makes a difference.
