Hey there everyone!

Just a quick question!I have a 2 year old gorgeous daughter which i had to have a section with.I have now been trying for number 2 for nearly 6 months, and have been reading up that after a section it can be hard to conceive again.Have any of you that had a section struggling to conceive again?i would like to hear your experiences!!!!

Thanks guys x

Hi, i have not heard this before. I have had 2 sections and am having another in 3 weeks. After each on I concieved within a month of trying, so dont give up hope. xxx

I'm hoping i am not one of the unfortunate ones,i don't know what the percentage is but i have read a few stories,a couple of people,it has took ten years x

Sorry your having difficulty :(

I read something a while ago about internal scar tissue possibly causing an obstruction, but the reality is that apparently is it normal for someone to be trying for upto a year or even two before getting pregnant.

I have a friend who had a c-sec with her first and then had an ovary removed after having an ectopic and she conceived the first time she had sex! (well it must have been close anyway - i wasn't actually in the room ;))

Maybe do some research into if a pelvic ultrasound would pick up scar tissue etc and get one done privately for about £200 - i think they do them at Lewisham Nhs hospital.

Or maybe complain of abdominal pain in the area and see if they start looking at options that might reveal if anything is wrong - devious, but... so what ;)

Never been in that situation but never heard of it before...can't imagine it can affect getting pregnant though?

I have had a previous c section and I conceived very easily afterwards. We started ttc when Grace was almost 2 and a half, unfortunately I miscarried but fell pregnant the first month ttc after miscarriage also. Don't give up hope hunni xxxx

Thanks everyone! And louiseb, what a great idea about trying to get a scan done to take a look, and the only way they will is if i pretend i have pain lol x
