Hi ladies, just wanted to share my positive story:
I had gestational diabetes (controlled by diet), polyhydromnios and a shortening cervix during my pregnancy and i still had to be induced in the end at 39 weeks + 4 (after 5 weeks in hospital - from 28 weeks to 34 weeks - as they thought my little boy was going to be premature). The induction wasnt so bad - i had a long complicated labour process but think that was because of my little boys big head and my polyhydomnios - i managed just on gas and air and wouldve had another one the next day so it cant be all bad - if i can do it you can all definately do it! My little boy was 9 lb 1 1/4 and i'm 5 ft 3 and i ended up having to get a spinal to get a third degree tear sewn up after - which has all healed fine now. The point i want to get across is that i originally wanted a home water birth and things couldnt have been more different but although it was hard i would have another baby tomorrow xxx
