Cold & Flu @ 8-12dpo = BFPs?

I have had funny back twinges today. Kind of low and to the left, they are random and not painful, just twinges. Definitely not something I normally have but then again it seems like I have new af symptoms every month, just to throw me!! Af due Sunday x

Me too Wren. Yes, my twinges are low as well.

I've just been for a wee and have some 'brown/pink' spotting when wiping :/ think this is probably the beginning of AF, but my back twinges are new like yours and I'm also getting this pulling sensation just to the right of my belly button (also new this month)... But you are right, we get these 'new' symptoms every month - Probably because we are more in tune with our bodies than ever before. I have learned more about human biology these past few months than I ever did at school, that's for sure. I've even been able to teach/bore the other half about the effects of oestrogen and progesterone during the menstrual cycle haha

I've been trying for 10 months now Ttc1234! I was on the pill for 14 years, came off it September of last year and started casually trying, not really hoping for much. Been 'seriously' trying since January. I know it sometimes takes a while for the body to adjust - and I had a MAMMOTH 42 cycle back in Jan/Feb (I read that sometimes after being on birth control for so long, you need a BIG cycle to 'flush out' and start again) and after that they did indeed even out to between 28-32 days. Last few cycles have been 29/30 days (apart from last month's 27). So I do feel like I have 'readjusted', which is good. And I know that I am ovulating etc. which is also good

If she doesn't show up by Sunday (CD30 and due date according to apps) I will test... Not gonna hold out much hope now but I'm feeling okay about it. Like I said, if she comes, she comes! And then we start again

When I was ttc my little boy I came off the pill in the Feb (early to try let my cycles adjust). Started ttc June and fell oct so My cycles slowly regulated. Needless to say didn't go back on pill and don't plan to until family completed or maybe never. Oh doesn't mind condom use (tbh it's more pleasant for me) tmi hahaha

Oh don't worry about tmi with me haha - OH and I have not used any contraception at all since September. And I will never go back on the pill again now. I just think it's been messing things up too much - confusing our bodies. But everything will sort itself out in the end. Interestingly enough I've been speaking to my mum about things recently and she told me it took almost two years to conceive me (her first)... perhaps it's a genetic thing. Who knows. Either way, we know her story ended happily (3 kids) and I'm sure that so will all of ours

I was reading another forum the other day and somebody made a really good point: It is instilled in us (this FEAR!) from an early age that any unprotected sex WILL ALWAYS result in unplanned pregnancy, and so we spend all our teenage years/early 20s with this fear and do everything we can to prevent this so-called eventuality. When it actually comes to trying, we have no idea of the reality of the situation because we've been led a merry dance all along! If only we knew! haha

Oh I know lish! I actually came off the pill a few years before I ttc and it took 16 weeks for my first period wtf! I then went back on it for about 18 months before coming off it agin for fear of falling preggers lol! You'll not see me back on it again lol! Think it took my mum a wee while to conceive me too then she had my sister and I 18 months apart.
Anyway I've got a super busy day at work today..actually can't be bothered. Still got the cold

Oh I don't envy you at work Ttc1234! I'm a teacher, so I'm "off" at the moment - It's great, but also leaves me far too much time to think and fret!

Also still got the cold and have had more brown/AF spotting this morning, plus a temp dip (still above cover line but declining nicely) so I think she's well on her way, and probably right on schedule. So we're almost back to the beginning. Regular 29/30 day cycle. Best thing about this is that me and OH are actually going away to watch Last Night of the Proms next month - so we get to spend my next most fertile weekend in a swanky London hotel! My fertile window starts on that weekend and runs through the week after so the stars are working in our favour!

Feeling quite crampy today and wet. I'm stressing every time a wipe af is on her way - think I'm off to the loo every hour just incase. Omg lol! Still no appearance yet. Just quite a lot of dc! Was going to test tonight but think I'll hold off-too scared for a neg! When do u test lish?

Good Morning all. Ttc1234, I'm also very crampy today and more brown spotting and watery CM. Temp is nearly back to cover line... She will be here tomorrow, right on cue. So I don't think I'll be needing to test this month

BUT on to the next cycle. It's a beautiful day here so off out for fresh air. I'm going to try taking folic acid this cycle and I'm looking forward to my weekend in London with OH in two week's time! Lot's of BD time in a nice hotel!

Bfn yesterday morning! Cramping today really bad so think af is on her way! I'm not too sure what's going on this cycle-been really cramping a few days which is unusual for me
And I've still got the blooming cold lol

Hi Ttc1234. Well AF arrived later that afternoon. At least I think it was AF?! She has completely disappeared now, after basically a day and a half. 1st afternoon was medium flow then light, and barely spotting today. Not like me at all... and a little bit disconcerting as I've read that AF shorter than 3 days is unhealthy :/

But it was defo red blood and I had to wear a tampon, but no usual heavy/painful flow... plus temp is on the rise again. How odd! Cold almost gone but still lingering.

Any news for you today???

Still got the cold well more an annoying cough and af arrived today with horrendous cramps! Cycle length 33 days this month

Ttc1234, sorry to hear AF came but yes, get some wine in you!! God knows we all deserve a wine now and then, especially after a dragged out cycle.

Wren - I am thinking the same thing! Maybe it could be. I'll see what tomorrow morning brings and I think I might test... Scary!!
