Have narrowed these down as my options...
Anyone have any experience of either?
:???:

I had implant, was great for a year then got it out because i was being fussy about bleeding and wanted it more regular so got it out to go on pill, and fell pregnant in between contraceptives  x

i had a coil bout 2 years ago... hubby & i could feel it when having sex, and if i sat in a certain position- mainly when driving and putting my left foot on clutch, i felt a slight scratching... and it was my coil, had it taken out n docs said should never of been fitted b4 having kids, lol did stop my periods tho,

never had implant, but not sure i would wana see it in my arm all the time, lol

xxx

I'm planning on having the implant I've had it before and it was great hardly any periods woot and never fell pregnant on it and didn't have weight issues with it either so very happy lasts 3yrs

I was considering the coil as some last 7yrs but I have Hurd mixed reviews so I'm not certain about it people feeling it all the time others loosing it some getting pregnant with it others think it's great so I'm just sticking with what I know xxx

I think I am going to try the coil, I fancy the idea of being hormone free after so many years of the injection....

I have had the implant for 3.5 years and never had a problem with them.
Only had it taken out because we want to have a bay, but when I decide to go back on to contraceptive I will have it again for sure!
I hardly ever had periods, I think probably had less than 10 in the whole time.
Never felt overly hormonal either, other than maybe a slight bit of cramping.

I had the marina coil 3 times and never had a problem with it until the last one when I fell pregnant coz it dissapeared  I guess my situation is rare tho xx

would never use the coil had the Implant an that makes ya bleed tried getting off it early but they told me it would stop but it never so 2 years i think i was on it :s. never again lol.x

ps you cant see the implant in your arm, you completely forget about it being there x

I forgot to say that part! Yeah you can feel it under the skin but it is not visible unless you are actually looking for it... or if you are under a UV light apparently!

it is not seeing the implant that puts me of, I think it is my experience of coming of the injection (I loved it as a contraceptive, it is that it took 18 months for any normal ovulation to occur), I think that is what is swaying my to the coil, and then if the copper ones suit me then why pump myself full of hormones...

the thing that is making the decision harder is that my cycles were horrendusly unpredictable pre injection... but who knows what they will be like now... the 1 period I had between MC and falling pregnant with Toby was not too bad, which surprised me and on a 28 day pattern...

oh I don't know

I think I am struggling cos I would ultimately prefer nature to take its course with number 2 and not TTC as strictly or diligently iykwim, but we are really not in a position to do that at the minute

Im going to go with the coil I think, as I had the implant a few years back for 1.5 years and it was awful! My hormones have never been so crazy!

you could see mine it moved aswell as im thin lol but if u have enough on ya bones ya wont feel it only wen they take it out x

i was on the pill for 4 years and then i fell pregnant on it so i dont trust it anymore, i know theres not really a 100% effective contraceptive apart from abstinence so gonna give the implant a go as soon as i can after bubs xx

I'm going to have a merina coil fitted on the 3rd of November. I went to the well woman clinic and the nurse was very helpful in talking things through and reassured me if it wasn't suiting me that I could make an appointment to have it removed at any time. There did seem to be a bit of a wait for the coil though, 6 weeks in fact, whereas I could have had the implant that day (or not as she said my history of migraines rules it out).
