Time for an update.

had my first stims scan today after 6 days of stimming. 7 good size follies and 6 smaller ones. lining thickening up nicely apparantly. :cheer:

back again on saturday to see how things are progressing.

all becoming very scary and exciting at the same time!

Great number of follicles. Did they say anything about the dose you're on? I know you seemed a bit concerned that it was low before, but you seem to responding fine on it.

I'm staying on the same dose, so I guess I must be doing what they want me to even though it seems a small dose.

hope the smaller follies catch up a bit so we get a good number of eggs

OMG OMG OMG....went in for scan this morning, just had call back.......we are having EC on tuesday!!! I can't believe it :cheer:

Can feel my ovaries twitching away as the follies are growing, and am chowing down protein like you wouldn't believe to try and get good quality eggs.


Am weirdly excited and nervous at the same time!

got 9 decent follies now and 4 tiddlers.

has flown by hasn't it. can't believe next week is EC already.
 
I am happy.......I have 9 follicles which potentially contain eggs. I am going in to have the eggs collected on tuesday and they'll fertilise them by injecting in johns sperm!!!

Do they put the fertilized eggs back in to you afterwards? Don't really have a clue how IVF works :?

Are you implanting 24 hours later or are you going for blastocyst?
Are you having any time off work after egg collection?
 
Thanks everyone

I go into theatre at 11.30 to have the eggs collected.

I will be having a 2 day transfer, so they'll be fertilised tomorrow and incubated till thursday when they'll go back in :pray: :pray: :pray:.

my boss has agreed to me having the rest of the week off which is brilliant :cheer: especially as he only found out this morning

If I'm up to it I'll pop on tomorrow and let you all know how we got on

I'm home......we got 9 eggs so are really pleased. find out tomorrow afternoon how many have fertilised :pray: :pray: :pray:

egg collection was a breeze compared to how I thought it would be, not very dignified with your bits and show and things being shoved up your bum after :shock: , but I am not in any pain at all so am really relieved.
