Hi all my son is 6 days old and everytime i change him he wees all over himself and me! Any hints and tips to help lol, thanks.

My son was the same. I was so used to changing a girl I wasn't ready for the fountains of wee! What I do is unfasten nappy take it down then back over again for a minute incase of wee as normally when the air hits his willy he pees. When I'm changing I put a wipe or large cotton wool pad over his willy and that seems to soak up any wee if any. I remember when he was 5 days old he done a wee and managed to get wee on his face! X

I had this with my girly, try putting a Muslin over him as the cold air might not help., also warm the wipes slightly. But yes agree with mrsolly open and put the nappy back once opened ready to catch wee

Soon as you pull his nappy down put a wipe or cotton wool ball over his willy.

Totally agree with what the others have said- give his bits some air hen put nappy back over and have some cotton wool pads handy. Worked really well with my son

We do the above aswell as point his willy downwards whilst sorting him so it fires into the old nappy underneath him, lol, the oh has been pee'd on so many times x

Cotton pad or flannel was good for us, now I just pull nappy back over while I'm sorting out wipes/new nappy. At moment he still seems to manage to wee on me at the exact moment I pull the nappy back to change over - and he's 8.5 months old!

Get a good quality cotton pad like Johnsons, otherwise their willy will be covered in fluff.

Thanks girls! Only weed on me once yesterday lol x

I can't with this technique for my two lads. Is a bit tricky to do but very effective! x

Have a muslin cloth at the ready (or even on the changing table) ready for action.. and with boys (or at least mine!) I think you can often tell when they're about to wee, I always get out of the apparent direction of fire just in case! :D

Release the tabs of the nappy and wait a few seconds for the pressure on his tummy to be released and then pull the nappy off. Apparently it can happen because of that xx
