Cervical Mucus: Can someone please explain?

I also learnt so much just from joining this forum. I was googling so much as I didn't understand so many posts lol!! Felt so stupid at the time.

I think noticing your own changes is very important. My fertile CM certainly didn't match the usual description of EWCM and I would have dismissed it if I hadn't known my cycle so well. OPKs were enough for me to get a good idea of the pattern. I tried temping but didn't get on with it. It works well for lots of ladies though.

I got paranoid that I wasn't producing enough. I tried grapefruit juice - lasted less than a week as it's disgusting. Also tried evening primrose oil from CD1 to ovulation which was also a waste of time for me. Lots of ladies swear by it though. I did try to hydrate more which of course is good to do anyway but I didn't see any increase in quantity. We just went with Preseed/Conceive Plus in the end.

There’s an abbreviations thread somewhere on here from about 300 years ago when I first joined lol.

It's a great forum but there don't seem to be many active users, lots of people viewing posts but barely anyone posting/commenting.

I think that's because there are more people who need information than people who have information. It's shocking how few women grow up being taught what their bodies do every month!
There's enough people hanging around to keep it interesting :)

I agree with you there even in sex ed we were not told about futile windows just that you bleed every month and to make a baby sperm needs to meet the egg.
I'm surprised my mum didn't tell us but I think she was waiting for us to have an interest in ttc to do it but I haven't told her as I know exactly what she will be like she will be calling me everytime I'm due to test with her hopes up. She is focused on the moment that my sister is going to end up pregnant very soon as she just got married and is on her honeymoon so I'm happy for her to focus on my sister untill I get my bfp

Im in a similar situation, albeit my sister is already pregnant, so my mum is concentrating on her, whilst im over here trying to conceive at 31 and my sister is 29 and managed ok, but she did start before me, so thats my excuse  although it has taken for me to tell my sister that we are trying, for her to educate me on 'baby making' - other than that i havent told anyone, so i know my sister will be straight on the blower wanting to know the results of any pregnancy test or whether my af turns up

This forum used to be heaving. The activity was immense - I know because I used to moderate it! Not sure what’s happened! Maybe us spammers asked all the questions already lol.

Yea I'm happy for it to be like that as my mum will be asking her and not me lol my sister knows we are planning to try next year but doesn't know our plan changed as we actually started this month

That's probably true, I'm 28 and still learning and i have a 6yo!

Can anyone tell me what on earth is going on with my BBT please? They've been taken at 7am for the past 4 days (when my alarm goes off) but they seem pretty haywire!

No idea... but Katie Perry has just exploded into my head with “you’re hot then you’re cold, it’s yes then it’s no”

I've noticed in the last while there's been a lot less activity compared to when I joined.

Do you sleep with your mouth open at all as this will effect temp

Haha that made me laugh. It's so weird, two temperatures alternating, exactly the same pattern both times.

Not that I know of!

Maybe an ear thermometer would be more consistent? Not sure if it works for BBT

the only options my apps give is to do it orally or vaginally for bbt

Yeah same I always do mine orally.

I have no idea what's going on. The app says my CM and temp put me in my fertile window but my temperatures are anything but consistent.

I'm rubbish at this :(

Temping doesn't work for everyone - I'd trust your CM. Never heard of ear thermometer for BBTing.
