c-section- to shave or not

They say to shave the top of you for when he they cut you to get baby out!

But obviously some people shave completely anyway and I just wondered what others do for a c section? If you shave anyway do you keep it like that or do you let it grow lol- what's the right thing to do?

They took a blunt bic razor to me and shaved as far down as they coukd.. hurt longer than the section scar.

This time I will be going for a good wax before my section

Do you know what I have no idea - I was an emcs, think I must have tidied up down there but since I couldn't see it doubt the top was done - don't know if they did anything before cutting me either... If I'm elective this time I'd just make sure it was all trim and a good way down at the top.

Yeah that is the thing they take a razor to you and dry shave you if not done urgh lol... So yeah I it woi and be really horrible after.
I personally do do mine but dunno what the norm is lol really! I was emergency section last time too and when done down there but I still did you like them looking lol cause you never know what they think haha x

First time I had and emcs and they shaved me with a blunt razor. Itchy as hell growing back in and a worse mess than the scar. 2nd time elcs and I did the job myself before hand. Used a trimmer and took it all off myself. Much better. Will do that next time too! Good luck when it comes.

Some sections ive shaved, one they told me not too as rusk of infection or cutting myself!! But tbh I felt nicer when id gone in all tidy, but just don't leave it to last minute incase you get rashy after

Ive been keeping mine really ready for mths and im getting bored of the upkeep now! Ha

Popped at 36 weeks last time so emerg section and think it caught me out!!

There are signs up on the antenatal ward in my hospital about not shaving after 36 weeks. Waxing and creams are fine, but no to shaving

They used an electric razor for my section I must have been like a forest!!
