My o/h is on a promotion course for work from October until December. At first I thought it would end a couple of weeks before my due date, but found out last week that it's only finishing 2 DAYS before I am due :faint:

Even if I go into labour early he won't be able to get released from it. If he leaves it he'll have to do the whole thing again :(

I'm not going to make him turn it down as it's been a long time coming, but it'll be such a shame if he misses the birth. I know my mum will be over like a shot to step in (she wants to be there anyway) but I feel a bit glum about it. It will be sad if he doesn't get to see his child until s/he is a couple of days old. He mightn't even get weekends off so he won't really even see me in my last few weeks - maybe not a bad thing

Guess all I can hope for is that baby arrives on time or late. In the case I have to have a c-section because of my placenta maybe I could arrange it for when he's here, oh dear :eh:

keep ya legs crossed hun lol

Oh hun, that is rubbish. I really hope you get what you both want and hubbie manages to make it to the birth one way or another xxx

Oh no :( i hope pea hangs in till due date for you, or maybe she will get cozy and be a tad late. It would be such a shame if your OH misses it! xxx

I know - he doesn't seem too bothered though - maybe he will be a the time. I guess whatever happens happens and nowt I can do about it. Unless it's the planned C-sec thing and we'll maybe have some room to manouvre - but I don't want a c-section :brat:

Ah hun  Fingers crossed your lo is a wee bit late.xx

Oh no :( that's crap! Sorry to hear that hunny. Aren't most babies late? Also he's out 2 days before DD so only if LO comes early he'll miss it. Don't often find us saying this but 'stay snug inside mummy baby princess' xxxxx

Oh hun! Is the hospital near where he is doing the course, that he could rush up to you after?

No, the course is in the south of England and we live in Northern Ireland x

Oh hun! I dont know what to say.... hopefully you will go late! Or have a planned c-section
Just dont do any exercise the last couple of weeks to encourage it along... park yourself on the couch ;)

I can safely say that there will be no exercise :oooo:
And no sexercise either to induce labour x

A complete ban on any movement involving ur bottomhalf ;)

Oh dear I hope Baby Pea holds on for Santa - didn't realise you were from Northern Ireland Princess me too :) I hope you manage to avoid the c-sec and get the birth you want :)

Oh no, totally understand how you feel! There's a few of us on here who's OHs work away a lot, mine works in australia so if I go early I have no chance of him getting back either! We'll all have to support each other and keep our legs crossed. I have no family up here so relying on my friends to available and not drunk in a bar somewhere!

I do feel for you, 2 days before EDD is close, my husband is back on the 2nd and I am panicking already. BTW I have anteror placenta and it was low-lying but its not anymore, they say its very rare they dont move up

Oh no Princess, such crap timing, it's going to be a tricky time of year for all your family.
I guess we'll all have to hope for a cheesy American style xmas miracle (it works in the films!!) xx

Lol we can but hope Binzy. knopk I hope mine moves up too then :good: fx!
Sarah- OMG yours is even further away than mine :faint: he's normally in Scotland but just down south for this course.
Jen I'm not originally from NI but have been living here for nearly 7 years now x

I hope that your wee LO will stay warm and cozy and he will be a Christmas baby !

I understand how much you want your oh there , at least if I suffer he will hav to suffer too with e and hear me screaming lol...

Btw wasn't you that you will have a llittle boy at 35 weeks predicted by a medium lol?
