Is my OH going nuts - I know this is an old wifes tale, but he is adamant now so just wondered if anyone else has experienced any?

The one he seen - his best friend told us about him seeing 3 magpies when he found out his misses was pregnant. The old wifes tale says it will be a girl. They did have a girl!

So he has just came in and told me he seen 4 magpies so checked on the net what it meant and it means a boy. He is now more excited - thats men for you eh!! :wall2: Lol!

xxx

I always remember my Mum telling me that she saw 3 magpies the day I was born :) x

Tell him you need him to see 5 (for silver) or 6 (for gold)... never mind 3 or 4 ;)

1 for sorrow
2 for joy
3 for a girl
4 for a boy
5 for silver
6 for gold
7 for a secret never to be told...

Whenever I see a lonely magpie, I salute it. Wards off bad luck apparently. Hubby is used to me and my wierd ways now lol.xx

Saw 3 the other week, then another crept in, then one more. No silver though.

Then this morning, saw 4 magpies, we'll have to see if baby is a boy. Few more weeks of waiting to go!

Im a bit of a magpie saluter as well

I keep seeing only one :brat: then of course I have to salute it :oooo:

Hmm so wonder if it's true then.. I don't always salute, but my OH does. Mind you, I'm blind as a bat and never actually see them haha! xxx

I was talking to my mum the other day about how I felt i was carrying a girl. And she said she had the same feeling. Then three magpies flew in front of the car. Will have to wait till feb to find out though.
:(

If I see a single magpie I speak to it. My mum always says "hello, Mr Magpie - hows the family?" - lol.

The day of my 12wk scan my mum text me to say she'd just seen 4 magpies lol
