While we're on the subject of cars, can anyone throw some advice my way - especially you cassi as you seem to have some impressive knowledge of them.

I currently drive a VW Beetle which I absolutely adore and love. Have had it for 4 years and would not have dreamt of parting with it until I got pregnant Am now considering a 5 door as I need to be more sensible in preparation of the little one's arrival. I do love VW's but am loathe to pay the kind of money the VW garages want for a second hand Golf. Have been considering the Seat Leon as you appear to get alot more for your money. What do you think? Anyone know more about our 4 wheeled friends than me?

Ps MomNat had a Puma before the Beetle and loved it to bits :)

My family is mad about VW
I have a golf cab mk 3 and i have tried pushchair and shopping in boot ans car seat on back with my son and there is lots of space also tried it in OH corrado storm and it fits well.
The Polos are cheap and a good size have a look on ebay.

We had a new polo as a hire car in spain, a little 1.1 and we thought ohh god this is gonna be sooo slow..but it was really nippy, ran perfectly and was a great little car! really impressed! :D

Have now test driven the Seat Cupra Leon (I think thats what its called) and a Golf TDI something and definitely prefer the Golf. The boot space is lovely and it feels lovely to drive, almost the same as my Beetle :)

Still have the A3 to test drive and then hopefully I'll be able to make a decision....oh yes have to sell the Beetle too which will break my heart as I love it to bits

Incidentally, we went to a fab warehouse place called Two Left Feet in Bedford today where they hold every buggy under the sun and actually got to play around with all the ones we liked. Fab place, they even let you take the buggy outside so you can see if it fits into your boot and see what the buggy is like over kerbs and cobbles. We also picked the nursery furniture which is gorgeous.

Am really excited now, have held off buying anything for the baby until today and now there is definitely no stopping me

Im not sure wether it was on this forum or somewhere else that i heard some bad feedback about two left feet? I might be wrong but it rings a bell.
