No they are silicon caps, glued over his claws (Google SoftPaws) he likes to destroy my embossed wall paper.. and it just keeps the damage to a minimum lol

Soft paws are great!!! I went to the ideal home and they had some funky ones and do red and green ones for xmas!!! I need to get some for my cat really!!!

They are fab, I have three tips for you if you get them..

1) Wrap cat in towel TIGHTLY, Swaddle it so it cant wriggle legs free.. Then take one foot out as you need it.

2) Cats shed the oter layer of their claws, This is when the caps come off, So try and time putting them on, till after he has just shed. You can usually see the shed parts in their scratching post, or wherever they have taken to destroying :P That will mean less replacing of the soft paws!

3) Unless you have seen your cat deliberately scratching with his hind paws (Some do, they are odd, but the majority dont) dont bother wasting caps on those, just the front two works fine for most kitties (And dont forget dew claws! those are nasty on furniture)

:)

aw hes lovely!

no matter what i do theres no way i could get my cats to sit long enough to get the soft paw thingys on , they wouldnt let me if i even bribed them with some "cat nip" PMSL X
