Boy or Girl - would you want to know?

I'll definately find out :)

I'm a planner. I want everything just perfect. No surprises for me thanks!

I don't see why finding out at the birth is any more special than finding out at 20 weeks, the difference being that you don't have to worry about anything once it's here.

That isn't to say that i'll announce the sex, i might keep it secret ;)

Not too bothered about the sex. I'd like one of each by the time i'm done, but the order doesn't matter.

We're going to find out. Just because I said I'd like to wait, but my husband said he couldn't bear waiting so if he knows, I'd have to know, lol. I go back and forth between whether I would want a boy or girl first. I love clothes for little girls at about 1+ , but right now I think I'd like a boy first; 1. So he can be a best mate for my nephew Rhyley, and 2. So that if we have other children and they're girls, they can have a protective older bro, lol.

i would love love love to find out but im hoping he/she will have their legs crossed so i wont be able to!! as id love the suprise on the day therefore :yellow:

hubby doesnt want to find out - but we both want a girl :pink: - hubby had 2 sons from previous marriage so this is my 1 and only as he doesnt want any more so want a girl but i would take anything healthy baby boy:blue: would be wonderful too of course!!

When I was a little girl I always "knew" I would have a girl when I was 20 as my nan had my mum at 20 and my mum had me at 20 therefor I would carry on the tradition, but when I fell pregnant (at 20) I had a niggling feeling that it wasn't a girl. I wasn't going to find out the sex right up till the day I found out I was pregnant, when I kept getting the feeling I had to find out and then I was ssssoooo dissapointed when it was a boy (I wouldn't swap him for the world now!). I would love to not find out with the next 1 but because of complications with DS I can't have a natural birth and c-sections are limited to 3 I want to know so I can get over any dissapointment before the baby is here. I'm worried that if I left it I might end up with postnatal depression. If I wasn't limited to 3 babies I would just carry on till I had a girl :-D. And I'm going to be contravisial and say if the next 1 is a boy I'm going to send OH for sperm washing in the USA for number 3!

I guess thats why I would like a girl first, I had an older brother and he was horrible, beat me up and everything. We barely speak to this day!

But saying all this, if we did end up having a boy, I wouldn't be sending him back, I'd love him just as much.

Me and hubbie dont want to find out as coz we plan to have more than one we would want to buy unisex stuff in anycase so thought may just as well have a surprise! I am torn as to what we want, I would love a girl coz im soooo girly and would love all the hair and nails and stuff but everyone I know has a boy so never had any experience of girl babies. I know they are prob all the same but bit scared!! Think we will have two little boys but would have more to try for a girl. DH knows this so hopes we have a girl so we can just stick at 2!!! DH is massively into footie so would love a son but we have a nephew which we are clkose to so he can always take him to footie matches instead!!

I have also looked into sperm sorting as we have 4 boys and I'm desperate for a little girl. I cant just keep going and have an endless number of children!! There are clinics in Spain and USA that offer gender selection but i was sooooo shocked by how much it costs, it is thousands. I thought it would be around two or three thousand and I had saved that amount to get it done, then got the info through the post and nearly fainted!! xxx

I was thinking about 6 or 7. i havent looked into it yet still hoping that number 2 is a girl. the worst thing is all my inlaws are adement that i will have 3 boys cos my OH is one of 3 boys but his uncle has 3 girls and now we have 1 boy and his bro has 3 girls. i dont know what i would do if i couldnt have a girl.

One of my friends were having their second last year and they already had a girl, at 20 week scan they told them they were certain it was a girl so they got everything prepared pink room ect ect

Then when she had baby....out came a BOY, hehe was a big surprise

I would be scared they would get it wrong

Thats would certainly send you into a pickle, names, colours, clothes etc.

Unless it was really obvious on a 4D scan, I wouldn't trust the scan lol

I'll be keeping things neutral until LO arrives :)

Lxx

Hey all,
I would like to know but i would also like t to be a suprise so i suppose i really dont know lol, Would have to come to that when the time comes.......Also i really dont mind what we have, For some reason i always see myself with a little girl but i think it might be because my sister has a little baby girl lol. My oH always see's himself with a little boy but we would be well happy with either. :), Amy xx

Team yellow for us all the way.

Louise we are both planners too, but we agreed, no finding out whatsoever I want either o/h to tell me when it's born or myself to be the first to know on arrival lol. I surprise myself with this as im so impatient most of the time but it is one of the few surprises left in life! We will avoid 4d scans for this reason and neutral nursery all the way lol x

I have always thought that I wouldn't want to know what I was having but as it is taking so long ttc I don't think that I could resist finding out! I think that I would regret it afterward though.

Lets hope that we have this dilema soon!!

I agree with M2A i dont mind as long as he/she is healthy.. We found out on our first baby.. OH bet me €20 it would be a boy but i said as long as its healthy i dont care.. Unfortunitly he was diagnosed with hydrocephalus (fliud on the brain).. I wana find out the sex if i fall pregnant again, we were told we would have a healthy baby girl this year by a medium so hopefully her words are right. I dont think i could wait 9 months to find out it be way to long :clock:.

I like the surprise but there is no way on this earth I'd be able to wait if I could find out sooner!!

I hate suprises, I have to know and the sooner the better!!

But we have agreed to keep this to ourselves!!
