I was wondering, for those who have had babies already or know people who have - i wonder if (apart from the obvious of course) there are significant differences between boy and girl babies?

Like i assume that a boy will be a mummys boy and more clingy as a tot but i dont know if thats true? x

My DD was the same temprement as Sebastian is-calm, laid back, only cries when hungry. Sebastian is a lot more independant (yes even so soon-he's 8 weeks tomorrow) than DD in that she would have sat and been cuddled all day whereas he actually whinges to be put down on his play gym/changing mat. They are both mummy's children. The other big difference is Seb is much nosier than DD and has always been a more 'awake' baby x

so its the opposite with you then really? Very cute i love hearing about babies and their little personalities !! :)

Yeah definately the opposite! I love how they have this little personality already and they know what they want!

i have 2 girls and a boy.
they have similar temperaments, however i feel like oscar will be mobile sooner but less likely to do things for himself. he won't even hold his own teething ring or rusk. he's much less dexterous!
he also has to be held the whole time where as the girls would sit and entertain themselves for ages!

my girls are mummies girls and my youngest ds is a daddies boy my other ds isnt bothered haha boys are cuddly but then so are girls but girls are evil lol nah they can just be really bitchy when the get older and quite mean lol

i have got 3 boys and 2 girls, when thy were babies not much difference they were all pretty much the same really content and laid back, but boy when they hit 1 and older could you tell the difference, my boys stayed the same and would still cuddle you and let you do things for them but the girls became far too independant and i never felt like i was needed anymore, even though i was to make their meals etc but just felt not as important to them, plus as they reached 2 should i say they were very strong willed, older again they would do anyting for you if you said could you but would not do things if you said will you inother words not doing what they were told to do had to treat them like men lol let them think it was thie idea. my oldest daugher used to try and make all the rules ie i would say you do that again and you go to bed so she would do it again and put herself to bed so she was in control still, my youngest daughte would wee herself on puropse when put on the naughty step so she had to move. i laugh now at it, but i must admit now my eldest daughter is 12 she is fantastic i do wonder if its the calm before thestorm for when she hits 13, my 14 year old son i have been very lucky with and is still well behaved. Also with my girls they are very honest did you hit him, yes i did, why, cause he was annoying me, whereas the boys would try and lie their way out of it. no i would never do that lol.
