bloody show or bleed from sweep?? TMI

Hi i hope someone can help as Im a bit confused. I had a sweep yesterday at 12, had bleeding after which started off as brown and then redish brown. There was a couple of clotty looking bits in it but mostly just bleeding on pad or when wiping. It decreased through the night, had some aches and pains but no real tightenings to speak of.

This morning when i got up i had no staining on my pad but when i wiped i had some brown blood and some stringy looking brown blood. It must of been sitting in a clump. Im just confused now, is that old blood still coming from my sweep or could that be part of my bloody show? There was no green looking mucus or anything so cant say it was plug. I feel ok this morning, just a bit achey so far. I was 1-2 cm yest, favourable and baby was low.

Morning, my shows have been different in two occasions. My first show came as a plug with blood in it. It looked like a tennis ball size of snot which was yellow tinged with blood congealed. My second show with the last pregnancy came as a small period and a small amount of plug but this was literally 10 minutes before I was pushing. The show can come in all shapes and sizes and at different times but what you've described sounds like your shows is happening. It may come away in stages. Xx

You don't really want to see any green btw. Not a good sign for things like mecolium or maybe a infection. You want to show to appear yellow/clear/bloody (old or new) and snotty or period type etc etc xxu

Tri hopping a little as not due over here for 2 more weeks but thought I would join in if that's ok! With my daughter my 'show' was literally a sudden drop of bright red blood ~ it went straight into the toilet but I couldn't see anything mucus/stringy about it. Slight bleeding, red and brown then continued on and off until she was born a few days later. Best of luck! X

Thanks girls, still having a little spotting but nothing much. Havent had any more of the stringy blood stuff either. Really hope it was the start of a show or something, im dying for any sign that things are happening! x
