Hi all, I've just had my little girl delivered by emergency c section. She was pale and had a low blood count and is having a transfusion now. I can't be with her and am in the post natal ward feeling utterly useless.

Does anyone know anyone who has been in this situation? They have no idea what it could be. She's been healthy the whole way through, cord and placenta were fine, oxygen levels good. I'm just so shocked and emotional. Can't think of anything else!

I have never heard of this hun but hopefully someone will be along soon who has x I just didn't want to read & run xxxx sending out thoughts for you and buba xxxx sendin all my love xxxx

I've no idea Hun but know what it's like to have your baby taken away, it's really horrible so massive hugs xxxx

Please excuse any typos from my fat fingers!
Tapatalk madness!

I'm sorry I can't help with any advice, but thinking of you and your baby girl!

It could just be low iron or low cell count. The same reason a mother might have one.

Ask lots of questions!!

Congrats on her birth Xx

Tapatalking :-D Can't see tickers...

Hey BabyBee.

My Matthew had a transfusion because his platelets were low but everything else was normal. My hubby and I had a whole heap of blood tests done to find a reason but they never did. They in the end said it was just one of those things. He arrived home yesterday at 2 weeks and 1 day old but I'm pretty sure you'll have your bundle sooner. :)

Hi Lizzy, thanks for that. I didn't realise Matthew had needed one. It reassured me so much that he's now home with you. I hope he's doing really well.
Thanks for this, really appreciate it.xxx
