My hubby has the empathy of a brick and needs explicit instructions when being told how to deal with new things. I'm looking for a no nonsense, factual and not really humorous book for him to help him cope with the hormonal whale that his wife is (hopefully) soon to be....

Any suggestions ladies!!

We have the 'What To Expect' book which we both found very helpful, it covers conception, all pregnancy week by week, labour and birth in great detail. It includes all symptoms, complications and gory bits, is very factual etc. Hubby actually reads that more than I do lol!
My mum also gave us a book called 'He's Having A Baby' which is ok too. Not greatly detailed but has some helpful bits in it :)

The midwife recommended me ‘Bump’ by Kate Evans. I liked it but it is quite humorous so maybe not right for your hubby.

My DH has one called “Pregnancy for Dads - the whole 9minths” and it’s great, really funny and easy to read- he reads chapters out to me :)

Birthing for blokes by Mark Harris - he’s a midwife
