Best jeans?

I was just wondering if any one knows if expencive brands like Levi's are better than cheaper brands? Just that DH keeps splitting his jeans inbetween his legs (think theyve just worn away and eventually split). I were going to just buy him a pair of matalans jeans (only like £8 ) but do you think it would be better to invest in some levis? or another good brand?

i think its best to invest in one or two good pairs of jeans.

My OH usually gets his jeans in Next and they are really good quality and have lasted him a long time. My OH has also got a few pairs of jeans from Burtons and Levi and they are also good quality.
