So I had a little spotting and mild cramps, just phoned doctors to be on safe side. Went in for early scan on Monday, I should be 10 weeks pregnant
& was told it was a twin pregnancy but 1 sac was now empty and the remaining baby was not the size it should be at 10 weeks .. I was told to expect a heavy bleed.
I have another scan booked in 2 weeks ..
Has anyone else ever experienced this? Do I have any hope .. they were fairly negative with what the outcome is going to be but didn’t tell me I had lost the baby.
It’s driving me crazy just not knowing .. and wondering what’s going to happen at any point.
This is my first ever pregnancy so any advice is appreciated..
Thankyou x

Aw I am sorry to read this. This basically happened to me over end of September/
October. Not a twin pregnancy though.
They expect to see a certain growth at certain points in pregnancy. As your spotting and having a little cramping they will think that (along with scan results) that you are likely to misscarry. They rescan in 2 weeks to check the growth. Sometimes thenoreganncy catvhes up or just doesn’t. They will be able to tell you more at the next scan. I truly do understand the limbo you are in. You just need to try take each day as it comes hope for the best but expect the worse. It really could go either way. They will have been fairly negative as they need to prepare you for the worst should it happen. I wish you all the best
My second scan showed no growth so knew I had lost the pregnancy.

I’m sorry to read this. I’ve been in this situation twice and it’s awful. In both of mine the growth stopped completely and I had a mc but both were 1.5-2 weeks behind where they should be in size at the first scan, not sure how far behind yours is? I think the advice lollipop gave is pretty good. Prepare for the worst but hope for the best. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you x

I can only echo what the ladies are saying above. I am sorry that you are going through this x
