Been to dr's tonight to get results but they weren't all back. Dr phoned hospital and said they are waiting for dr's to look at them before sending them back. She didn't tell me last time that my eastrogen levels were low only that my testosterone was high that's why I had to have another test. I am guessing the levels are not right again which could mean polycistic ovaries. My periods are regular though so don't understand why I am not getting any symptoms? When I had blood test to see if I was ovulating, I was so I am really confused and feel a little deflated. Dr is phoning hospital tomorrow but I will have to wait till next week to see dr for any answers. I don't even know what would happen if I do have polycysic ovaries? I just wish I didn't have to wait in limbo :(

Aww, don't feel low honey, an imbalance like that could mean PCOS, but its the easiest thing to treat. It may not be so severe tho which may be why you have no symptoms. I had my CD21 bloods done in Jan and they said they were all normal, and this month ive been told i have PCOS from an internal scan. How long have you been TTC? xxxx

Chazabel I have been ttc 15 mnths. I think I feel so low as everything seems to be against me at th mo, ttc without success and my job is at risk as they are getting rid of half of my team so I have to fight for my job. It's just one of those days when u feel the world is against you. Thanx for ur kind words xx

Ahhh tinks , at least they are reviewing them properly before sending thlem back, but I know what you mean when you having a tough time, you must have alot of patience and fighting spirit then , so think you will be just fine at work, they will know a good one when they see one hun - hope your results and answers are back soon x

Ahh thanxs jj that's really sweet, I don't hold out much hope for work, 4 or us going for 1.5 posts and they are not treating us well. It worries me that if I get made redundant and have to find another job that means no maternity benefits , scary times at the mo just wish something would go right so I can feel more positive and have more hope xx

I hope you're feeling better Tinks! I have cysts on my ovaries, but I do not actually have pcos (but I am at risk getting it). Anyway, they gave me clomid and I got pregnant (and my OH has very low sperm count).

Will be sending positive vibes your way and hope that something good happend to you soon!

:hugs:

Thanx esperanza, that makes me feel a bit more positive hearing ur story. I am feeling ok today It doesn't help that my job is at risk and I could be made redundant so doesn't help my mood. I am going to get a dr's appointment & ask to be sent for an ultra sound so they can diagnose me and hopefully give me the medication, just seems silly waiting until my referral which could be months! I think that's what is getting to me the most that I could be left in limbo if they refuse. How were u diagnosed? Did u have any symptoms? I have none just high testosterone Xx

I didn't really have any symptoms, but I didn't get pregnant. So after a year I went to my doctor and asked him for a referal. He gave me one and I had to wait 3 months to see a gynaecologist who did an internal scan on me and saw the cysts on my ovaries. She said they were not big and that I did not have pcos, but that if I gained a lot of weight, I would get pcos. She prescribed me clomid (even thought she said it seemed like I was ovulating on my own, she was my saving angel), and than I got clomid, and I went in for an internal scan the same month I was on clomid to see that I had an egg ready for take off.

We also tried to get OH's sperm amount up, by cutting down on sex (trying to have a break of three days before my ov). He also took a lot of vitamins, antioxidants (pygnogenol) and zink and zelenium. Loose boxers and pants all the time and all the other rules for good sperm policy.

I was not expecting to get pregnant at all as I was sooo used to getting disapointed, but I woke up one night and just new I had to take a test the day after, and it was positive.

I really hope you figure out what's going on, because the worst thing is to wait around and being in limbo. Got my fingers crossed for you hun!

xx

Ur sittiation sounds similar to mine although my hubbys sperm come back normal. Did u have bloods done? So it's likely I'll have to wait for my referral until they do a scan?etc

I got scanned by my gyno, but only because my progesterone was so high and my period arrived early on 1st cycle of Clomid. I'd imagine you would have to wait for the referral, but that doesnt mean you cant chase it up or simply ask for one. Especially if your under stress, knowing would help you xxxx

I guess you would have for a referal. But I agree with Chaz, you can always try to speed things up by calling your doctor, saying this is important to you. My doctor said that I was so young, that these things may take time and that he didn't see the point of giving me a referal, but he did anyway, to get my heart at peace! If your hubbys sperm came back normal, that's at least one good thing!!

I did my bloods and they came back normal. But I could clearly see the cysts on my ovaries when I was on the scan!

Wishing you lots of luck! And I hope your job situation improves as well!

Stay strong!! It all will become so much better when you have some answers!!!

xx
