Beckys Induction/Labour Thread <3

Hi girls. I'm contracting every 4-5 mins but only lasting about 35 seconds. They aren't strong enough or long enough just yet xxx

Morning ladies sorry for the delay but it's been a rough couple of days. The pessary did sod all apart from give me some twinges and also fell out twice. Yesterday morning I was taken to labour ward and they attempted to put in a cannular 3 times and ended up having to put it in the crook of my arm. 20 mins later they attempted to break my waters and couldn't so a dr was called in to do it which was fine.. The waters were broken and then the drip was attached and 5 mins after it was attached the contractions were coming thick and fast every 3 minutes I was in alot of pain but was reluctant for pain relief.. I had cosine and paracetamol and soldiered on for 2 hours with gas and air. After being in agony my midwife and my mum suggested the epidural- I felt like a huge failure but after 3 days of no sleep I wasn't coping and knew I needed something. The epidural went in and after an hour it wasn't taking effect at all - I was in complete agony and my legs hand gone the slightest bit numb - kept trying to tell everyone but they weren't listening so it carried on for another hour. I was examined and was stretching to 3 cm even though the contractions were coming hard every minute. The an it anethatist was called back and was very rude telling me I couldn't be in that much pain!!!! then told me to stop moaning when breathing out into my gas and air to which my reply was 'unless your doing it shut your f/ING mouth' - oops lol. She checked the epidural site and realised it was leaking out of my back which is why it hadn't been working to which I said - 'HA I told you' lol. She took it out and redid it. After half an hour it started to take effect... I could still feel the contractions nut they weren't as intense and my legs were slightly numb but I could still move them.... This respite lasted for 20 minutes when the contractions were back hard and extremely fast... by this time I was in tears shouting that it wasn't fair at all and that I was going to die lol... All of a sudden I felt a gush .. which tured our to be alot of blood... midwife was called back in and I told her I felt funny down there ... she decided to examine me and I was fully dialated ( I'd gone from 2 cm -stretching to 3 to 10 cm in 1 hour and 45 minutes) Everyone was so shocked but now understood why I was in so much pain. My midwife suggested waiting an hour to start pushing because it would bring the babies head down more but I said sod that and started pushing with the next contraction- 5 minutes later you could see her head , 14 minutes after that she was born at 19.44 weighing 7 lb 12 oz. I've torn my labia and across my urethra and clitorus -OUCH... I'm really proud of myself xxxx
