I was having a nosey at another page (bad I know) but some people had got some really good bargains. I was just wondering what your best bargains were? I've still a few things to get but clearly I'm not looking in the right places  x

Due to starting to buy things relatively early on we have managed to save quite a bit. So far the best ones are;

Free car seat with pushchair (such of been £89)
£250 off price of nursery furniture
£60 off our video monitor
Isofix base for half price

There are other little bits here and there too but it all adds up :) I have found just buying at the right time works wonders as apposed to searching out the bargains as I would be on the internet for hours.

x

You have done well :).
We got a free car seat with our travel system and the isofix base was reduced on the day we decided to buy which was a nice surprise. We got our monitors in the Asda baby event. I got a tummy tub for £5 actually which was a good price.

I love a wee bargain and with so much to get (even for no2) every little def helps!! x

I got some good bargains mainly from the internet!
Got pram travel system for £210 - they were selling in mothercare for £380 at the same time. Site was called online4baby.com
Emma's diary offers have been amazing too! Got changing bag for £20 was £70! Bouncer for £35 was £80. So those emails are def worth getting. They direct you to the online4baby site but the email shows you the best offers.
Links to this weeks - http://www.emmasdiary.co.uk/sales
Www.Preciouslittleone.com is usually good too! Xxxx

Jenbob you've done brill!!
I get the Bounty offers too and they had a lovely changing bag reduced but typically hubby didn't think it went with the pram we'd liked and it ended up we didn't even buy that one lol! Wasn't meant to be! x

jenbob - You win!! Off to look at the sites you've listed :) Ta for the heads up!!

x

Haha thanks guys :) honestly the Emma's dairy weekly offers are amazing! Think they change every Monday. This is the bouncer we got... Fabric is great and can completely be removed to be washed, also plays music.

I have bouncer envy - Shame as I bought mine this morning, gah!! :D

My best bargain was my nursery furniture, ordered a set worth 600 and they sent the wrong one... Which was worth 1100!! It's loads better than the one we ordered and they haven't mentioned it! Accidental bargain I know, but a gooden!

Karenb LOVE IT! Lucky duck! I bought baby's first outfit today! Debenhams have a sale on this weekend so I bought pink and blue vests, a 'cutest little sister' outfit and a 'best big bro' t-shirt for our lb. I'm watching a 'little brother' outfit on eBay but thankfully I've still a while yet to get 1.Who said being team Yellow couldn't be fun because you couldn't shop lol?! They have a great wee sale on!

We have had lots of bargains, lucky we started buying early meant we could wait until things were in the sale and shop around for the best price.

Travel system was half price from £ 500 to £250
cotbed was £100 off so cost £150
Wardrobe was end of line/ display model so £325 to £99
Then lots of the littler bits we have got in baby events so got odd pounds off which all adds up. Xx

I got a lucky brand new pushchair for £16. Well, my parents did. Sooo chuffed with that lol.

Wow some right bargains ladies!

Mystic teen - £16 for a new puschair!! Impressive..

We spent £16 too on a midi sleeper for my 4.5 yr old so that really low toddler bed could go under for my 19 mth old and so now cotbed is empty for baby yayy. Only trouble was a man with van cost £50 to collect and deliver but it's old sturdy wood does what we need as most beds were way to high for safety.

I don't envy you first time mums having to set up completely x

I am super early but I saw the word bargain ;)

I got a bargain on my nursery furniture already - I couldn't resist!

Lovely mamas and papas set half price at £400 in Argos. Then Emma's diary gave £45 off that! Plus Argos have a deal where you get the mamas papas spring mattress for half price at £65 when bought with a nursery set!

Cannot wait for it to arrive!

I did alright with the last pregnancy.

I got my Poddle Pod second hand from a kind lady from this forum for £20 (half RRP).
Buggy Board off local FB second hand group for £25 (half RRP)
Crib for £30 by saving and using Tesco points.
TT Perfect Prep for £60 from Amazon Black Friday sale.

I've reused crib/buggy/car seat.

I really recommend going on local FB Baby & Toddler groups, you can get some real bargains.

Unfortunately I'm getting made redundant from a certain supermarket beginning with T. The stores closing. So I've had loads of great bargains. From Nappies at £2 a pack, a months supply of nappies for £6. A Lamaze playmat for £1.87 and Winnie the Pooh night light for £3. Stupid amounts of stuff I probably don't need, but I've got so cheap I don't care. I've even usedy staff discount xx
