Baby measuring below the 5th centile at 35 weeks

Yes I'm still at work, I work shifts too and 7 days in a row, 7 days left then I'm done... My oh wants me to finish but I think it helps me at work, I tend to eat and rest more whilst there!! Haha.
I have a midwife appt midweek then my scan, do u have your 36 week appt before scan? I think it'll help me as if bump hasn't grown again then I know what to expect at the growth, if that makes sense?
I do have a small bump but I honestly think baby feels chunky in there, so I'm sure my scans are a bit off!
Finish work earlier , eat and rest when u can , I would if relaxed at home but I don't I'm terrible can't sit still ha x

I'm the same to be honest, I'll end up cleaning and ironing but would rather have a week at home if there's a chance I'm being induced at 37 weeks.
My 36 midwife appointment is the day before my next growth scan, she has given me a tape measure but not sure I know what I'm doing! Xx

Yeah I'm the same thinking maybe going off on day of my scan, only two days early but then if any urgent news I'm prepared n don't have to worry about work....

I got told with tape push top of bump until u feel a bit of a ridge ( it's easy for me as she's breech n I know exactly where head is ha ) then start tape at the ridge, straight down middle and stop when u get to pubic bone? But maybe other mummies can help better as first time mum I am pretty much clueless!!!!

Throughout my pregnancy I measured right on the fundal height so no concerns were flagged up, I was convinced baby was breech and MW couldn't be certain he wasn't so sent me for a presentation scan at 36+5 which showed baby was below the 5th centile and I was booked to be induced 2 days later at 37 weeks.
My son was 5lb 11oz when he was born, at 12.5 weeks he was 9lb 13.5oz so measuring 0.4 on the centile chart but he's a healthy, happy and very energetic baby.
Fingers crossed everything goes well for you but I wouldn't focus too much on the centile measurements as someone else said I'm 5ft2 so one of the consultants basically said she would never have expected me to carry a big baby.

CD yes they told me something similar, for someone smaller a baby the size of mine now would be ok, but compared to me height / weight she's tiny, but I think well baby is still that size, if she's strong enough then surely the personal centile chart doesn't matter... But I always try make everything make sense in my head. Haha. I'm terrible!!
Glad your bubba is doing good 5lbs 11 is a good weight for 37 weeks xx still so small but I forget how tiny newborns are! I can't believe we have them in our tummies!!

Just had a fetal anemia scan at 34 plus 1 and baby is apparently 4 lb 4 oz in weight. So at half a pound a week over next 5 weeks till 39 plus 1 he should arrive at about 7 lb I guess. About right for my babies
No idea what i measure tummy wise as only fundally measured at 28 weeks as 28 weeks

That seems silly Sezzy? A lb in 2 weeks would be a fab gain and normal. I thought as long as they are still growing on their curve they should stay in there. In hindsight I don't think my daughter should have been pulled at 37 weeks as 5 lb 15 was fine with three more weeks in the bag!
I think as ladies have bigger babies these days the average has changed which is not the norm for most. I have another scan for fetal anemia at 37 weeks too so Ill get to see what size he's grown too then , help me pack the right babygrow!!

Sezzy commented on your other post! Midwife explained exactly same to me today ( but different only in terms of me being breech so sections discussed) I'm waiting out for hospital but it was along same lines , if small better out than in as although could be 5lbs plus they weren't meant to be that weight etc, if placenta / other things are stopping them growing in tummy!
So I'm waiting and seeing but getting hospital bags ready to take Friday just in case! X

Just commented on the other post. My hospital bag is ready but I'm thinking they will ask me to go back in Saturday or Monday if they are gonna induce me so don't think I'll need it next Friday. Are you there this Friday or next? Xx
This Friday , that's for the Doppler scan , n her organs . Then see consultant, growth scan ( as needs to be 2 weeks Inbetween at my hospital) is the Friday after.
I'll be 37 weeks Inbetween the two.
So I'll keep u posted on Friday then should give u done idea? Your bubba is quite a lot smaller than mine tho , so each will be dealt with different I'm sure, but gives us an idea doesn't it x

Hi sezzy! Just thought I would update you, ended up in hospital with reduced movement , they brought scan forward by one day and baby is ok but no fluid left ( just over one cm all around) they think it's due to her being small or not getting enough she's taking in her fluid but not recycling it... So hopefully gaining more weight!!
I won't have my next growth scan now, hospital every day for trace monitoring , had first dose of steroids, second lot tomorrow. As it stands if she stays as she is , she is arriving by c section next Wednesday 29th, at 37+1( tues was full for sections) earlier is any results drop.....
I'm excited but nervous , they said she may need special care as measuring what a 33 week baby is ( except for her head) but the scans aren't overly accurate so it's waiting and seeing!
Isn't to scare u, just to keep u in the picture as we are in the same position.
C section as she's breech and too small for labour with the low fluid too dangerous for cord compression?? First time mum all went over my head!!!

Hey I'm at the hospital today too. Bubba hasn't grown and they aren't happy about the blood flow from the placenta. Having a steroid injection today and tomorrow n then being induced Tuesday. Things have sped up quick for us both! Xx

How painful is the steroid injection!!!!! My butt is still hurting me now! I'm having the one tonight in my other cheek ha.
Aww is baby still 4lbs? They didn't do a growth on me that would have been next Friday but judging my her loss of fluid she's not grown much , but she was 4 11oz at 351/2 so I'm hoping for the section she's over 5lbs x
