Baby clothes....

Someone who OH works with gave us a huge bag of baby clothes today! They are so lovely and were obviously very expensive new. Of course i am REALLY greatful but they absolutely reek of fags theres something really sad about seeing beautiful, tiny little baby clothes and them stinking of smoke i am going to wash them all asap as it makes me feel so sad. OH says she sits on her ass most days and smokes 40 fags a day with her kids/babies and their breathing it all in. I am not having a go at anyone with kids who choses to smoke as i was a heavy smoker b4 i got my BFP, but i keep thinking about her poor babies breathing that in to their tiny lungs

i know what youv mean, its awfall..

i used to smoke alot pre BFP... and dont think i'd go bk either...

put the lil clothes thru a long delicate wash, that shud do it if not wash them again hehe...

Aww hun i had exact same happen to me.. I took the bouncer appart and the few bits given to me and washed them all in plenty of detergent and softner they smell beautiful now but i still say the same to OH. the bouncer frame when i took the cover off was YELLOW and not white where the sticker was still. it was awful and made me feel the same. i just bleached it all down as soon as it was given to me! she has three girls and they are always sick too

I'm ashamed to admit I smoked through all four of my pregnancies, my only concession was going to low tar . I even held them as newborns with a "fag" in my hand - how awful was I. There are no excuses simply self disgust and the worry that while they all seems fit and health I don't know what legacy I have left them with. I have been free of the weed for 15 months and will never smoke again - however I still get urge - how crazy is that?

Aw i hate the smokey smell at the best of times but i think its terrible when parents expose their kids to it, fair enough if you want to smoke yourself but the kids dont have a choice but to breathe it in and wear it do they

I smoked thru my first pregnancy, ive been an ex smoker for 8 years now and really give Brian a hard time because he wont give up... He wont even try and it really pisses me offf.

His son has bad Asthma and i think its really sad that that is not a good enough incentive to quit, i dont want my baby endingup with the same problems.

Other than that, ive washed everything ive been given , not because its dirty but i think other peoles things just smell of them, everything smells like my house now

I HATE this

I was a really heavy smoker before my BFP and for first few months found it so hard giving up but perservered and havent smoked since I saw that blue line. Ive seen countless women outside the hospital smoking with massive bumps, or breastfeeding in town whilst smoking

Its NOT the babies choice, its selfish

My freind smokes only when her children are in bed and thats outside..at least thats a compromise..
I dont mean to have a go at people that have done it before, but it just winds me up.

I hope I never smoke again, this bubba was the best thing to happen to my health..
