B-b-but I'm pregnant!

basically we have to make ourselves homeless to go into temp accomadation to get a perminant home

That is disgusting, to unheave a family and their belongings, interfere with schooling etc just to get to the place where you should be! Shocking! So sorry to hear this hun x

Yes that's quite common (I'm a social worker...don't hold that against me!) but it's clearly not in the best interests of the children so I really think a letter or something more formal might help, especially cos your little one has a disability.

xx

its because we own our home and some1 last year did the same then got a council house and rented out the house she owned:shock:

i dont mind having to drive the kids to school ect its the moving twice a disruption to my d.s

i dont mind social workers its teachers that do my head in lol well most of them are great some are just plain stupid pmsl

Lol that bad huh... couldn't you go to the doctors for a written letter to help your case with regards to your son and how it would unsettle him and his routines?

x

we have all that all his specialist have stated that but because we could potentially rent our home out once we have council acc they wont do it grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

its the bloody unknown thing that doesnt sit well with me

I can well believe it and even worse hun when it isn't just you to consider 'hugs' x

im waiting on shelter to ring me back they are getting me legal advise on whats best to do :)

Good, glad someone is going to try and help you hun because it isn't on what is happening to you x

they didnt ring back :( will have to phone tomorrow now grrrr

They're all *******s midnight! We're right behind you sweetcheeks!

xx

cheers girls :)

if we did it so we got the house reposessed then they say they have to put us in temop accomodation but i dont trust what they say at all, if it turns out they cant then we can stay wil my mil as a temp measure but it wouldnt be suitable if the baby is here

But if you did that wouldn't they not rush to find you somewhere? Buggers!
x

What a crap situation! I had problems with housing this year but nothing on this scale. I take it you have medical points for your son? Could you talk to your gp or midwife about getting to write a letter stating how much stress this is causing? It's a disgrace!!!! *hugs*
X x x x

no because we would still be over crowded its just as a precaution measure that i have something to fall back on im going to ring a few letting agents today to see if they accept dss dont really want to do this because then we will have no incentive to work because we couldnt pay the rent on a private 4 bed

i have the 50 points on medical thats the maximum unless its extreme cases like where the child needs oxygen to survive or machine ect

yep :( i really dont want to do private at all the rent is rediculous and its no wonder people that go in them on benefits never work again

Well fingers crossed you can get some answers hun because time is ticking alone and they should be having a brush up their behind!
x

i just cant belive they didnt tell us this in october at least we could of had more time before the baby is due
