It's a screening test for chromosome abnormalities where they take your blood and test the fetal DNA. It's only available privately and more accurate than the standard NHS screening. We've decided to have it done because my last baby died due to a chromosome abnormality.

Well I had my scan, good news is its not ectopic, gestational sac and yolk sac present in the uterus and embryo, however she couldn't see the fetal pole yet she thinks i may not be as far along as I thought which i hope is the case. She said she would reccomend another scan in 7-10 days, although i really cant afford another private scan! not sure what to do

Hi my hcg is rising so I'm nervously asking to be put down for edd of 16th April! I haven't rang midwife yet I think il wait a little longer, it was horrid having appts made then cancelled the last time

I wouldn't worry too much at this stage hun, things change rapidly. But mention it to your midwife and she may book a scan at the EPU for you xx

No idea on the sit ups front... I've been a bit nervy about heavy exercise so mainly just walking but I know they generally say you can keep up your normal regime.
Perhaps steer clear of the floor stuff just in case? Xxx

I didn't do the floor work (mainly cos I couldn't be bothered!) but I did speak to my instructor and she said it's entirely up to me if I wanted but suggested doing pelvic tilts as opposed to crunches. I said I'd had some pulling pains so was going to give it a miss this evening. She gave me some handouts to look at so will read them later. I'll still continue with the exercise but at a lesser pace than normal and do walking xx

Well ladies as of tomorrow you'll be hearing less from me during the day as im back at work. So today iv had my eyebrows waxed, hair coloured, polished my nails and put some tan on for a little glow! Given that il be up at half 6 im in bed with my kindle! oh and my cramp!

Well going by my lmp I should be 6w+2, but the sonographer dated the gest sac just under 5 weeks?? so who knows!

I agree, i do try so hard not to worry but I seem to be so damn good at it!
