April mummies!!

Haha true but we have lovely scenery!

My mum just rung to ask how I am today. I said im fine but im having a quiet lazy last day of my holidays. To which she said " I think u should maybe try going a walk or something! " I wasn't pleased! When im back at work this week il b running around after a group of 5 year olds so im conserving my energy for then! :shakehead:

I was supposed to be doing that yesterday and ended up running around all day! I'd spend all day lazing in bed if I were you :)

I'm currently counting down the hours until 6pm!!

Iv just had a shower and washed my hair to chill out but im fighting sleep. Anyone else this tired? God knows how I'll be back at work.
Xx

Yep! I used to be able to function on quite little sleep and I used to really struggle getting to sleep at night but now as soon as I lie down in bed I'm out like a light and sleep right through until the morning. If I were you I'd make the most of your lazy day and snooze! X

Ok advice ladies.... Both me and hubby have very unreliable cars. We tend to prefer to pay up front instead of get something on finance just coz you're never sure as far as jobs etc are concerned are you... In the past we've only had the money to spend about a grand per car and the two cars we've got at the moment seen to have issue after issue- both bought from the same place (never going there again!!). Anyway, the mot on his (which is the worst of the 2 cars) is up on Friday. We know there's a lot of issues eg brake pads etc, and also we are fairly sure the head gasket isn't far from blowing.

So... We were thinking of going shopping for a new car tonight. But do we get a car with a family in mind?? I've been super cautious up til now but as both of our cars are little run arounds and we've got a bit more to spend this time, a more family oriented car would be a good idea. But then I'm worried that we are tempting fate!!! Plus the moment family/friends see the car they are going to suspect we are pg and we haven't told anyone yet.

We've seen a potential car with a nice amount of boot space which we are going to go and see later. Just seems like a big decision to be making this early on!!

Oooh car shopping is great fun! We have an Astra that's 3 years old which we bought from new and the first thing hubby thought about when we found out we are preg was say "right Lynne I think we should get a bigger car!" He wants an Antara or Insignia but iv said not a chance!! We don't need a bigger car. An astra is more than big enough and the boot is very spacious.

Funny this should come up - my car blew up on Monday (I knew it was on it's way out) and it was so sudden I hardly had any money towards a new one! Like you Naomi, I wanted to buy mine out right. After some hunting around I've ended up with a 5 door corsa! OH has a range rover so plenty of room but surprisingly, the corsa has a decent sized boot and plenty of room in the back + the fittings for car seats etc! I'd say go for it because either way you need a car, and if you don't get one with family in mind you could end car hunting in a few months time again?

I had an astra Lynne and it was a perfect family car I thought :) Xxx

Yeh Douglas, that's my thinking! Hubby is just using the bump as an excuse to go get a new one!

Naomi88 - very sorry to hear about your mc; that can't have been easy. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you that this time goes smoother for you! I will be having an early scan; we are on our first ivf cycle so should be having one about the 7 week mark. My nurse is on leave this week so waiting to hear from her next week about the date and time but it should be some time during the bank holiday week fingers crossed. Hoping I will start to believe it more when I see the scan; with how long its taken to get here even the almost daily tests aren't making it sink in properly! Constantly on 'knicker watch' for signs of af!
Luratraloora - I'm glad your scan went well, you must be feeling more relieved now you've been! I'm 5 weeks today. I never thought I'd see a positive test so still in shock a little bit! Is it weird that I'm wishing for morning sickness so that it seems more real?!

Loving reading all the posts on here, so many already for just a couple of weeks! X

Thanks for the advice ladies!!! Think if we find a nice family car today we'll go for it... If it starts rumours then so be it!!! Want one that will be able to fit pram, travel cot etc etc in boot.
Reeeeally hope we have a baby to put in the back seat next April!!

And lol Lynne men will use any excuse to get a new car! Or any gadget in general.

Just got in from work and heading out in half an hour when hubby gets home. Eep!! So much for spending our savings on a new bathroom!! Xxx

Ah congratulations on catching on your first ivf cycle, that's fantastic. Fx we both have sticky beans!! Not too long to wait for your scan then hopefully :-)
Ditto re knicker watch!! Hoping I relax more at the 12wk point as I'd quite like to enjoy the pregnancy as much as possible!!

And ditto on the wishing for morning sickness!! For one it will make it seem more real and also because that will stop me eating everything in sight as I seem to have so far!!! Xxx

Crap-iv got cramp and just been to the toilet and when I wiped there was some brown mucus again. I hate it. Not had any for days.

Xx

Goo luck Naomi, I had scan at 4/5 weeks and was just yolk sac and a splodge lol!! So cute thoGot can do which ill be 7+3 I think :-s so they will be able to see heartbeat I'm so nervous but not had any other problems since little bleed after sex which they said normal n blood wasn't red .... Positive thinking irks :-)) x

Omg my spelling is shocking... Good luck girls and think positive :-)) xWhere's everyone from ... Manchester x

Ohhhh forget to share that the EPU have given me an appt in 2 weeks time when Ill be just over 7 weeks. So think Im going to move my private scan to 9/10 weeks instead :)

Regarding cars... yes think we need a new one. Ive got a little Fiesta but its only 3 doors and one of the seats doesnt move forward so a right nightmare if you have a baby. Def a 5 door is needed.

How many weeks is everyone? I'm only four but never got beyond 6 so a bit worried I've set myself a first milestone if getting 2-3 weeks on a digi :-) xxxxx
