Is everyone finding out gender?

I am so looking forward to see everyone posting about their 12 week scans, it will give me something to do while I wait for mine, is yours tomorrow Laura?

I’m still so undecided about finding out the gender, has anyone secretly got any preferences? (I know we will all be made up with whatever we get) I keep thinking I want a boy then thinking no I want a girl ha ha x

I have 4 nieces, so the pressure is on me to have a boy and i actually think i probably will have a boy, which of course, it goes without saying i would be happy with. My oh would like a boy so either way i will be made up

We will definitely find out, its nice to have the sex scan to look forward to as when he or she arrives it will be the best thing in the world regardless of what sex they are, even though we will know

I keep thinking though that getting the chance to finally find out if it’s a girl or boy will help me get through the labour, like it will spur me on and keep me going type thing, I think if I know beforehand I will dread the labour a bit more as if I don’t know I’ll be desperate to go into labour so I can find out! I’ve still got plenty of time to decide anyway

Oh god arent they just the little dresses and leggings girls baby clothes just get me broody lol, but i have said to my oh that if we go to a wedding or special occasion that our son will be in a similar outfit to him i think its so cute

I've found a dress very similar to my bridesmaids dresses so would be perfect!! But typically it will be a boy! But yes I'm 100% finding out. I hate surprises anyway and I'm very impatient!!

Hi girls just catching up!
Had such a busy week! Had my booking in appt yesterday and she got me an appt for today so I have been to meet my consultant this morning too. I am 10+4 today. I have booked another private scan for next weds so I can announce before the wedding. And my doctor has signed me off for another 3 weeks until I have had my 12 week scan. Fingers crossed but at the moment all my spotting has settled.
It has made me so anxious about the whole delivery because last time was so complicated. But looks like it will be a planned section again but risk of haemorrage still high.
Got growth scans for 28/32/36 weeks.
Still waiting on my immunity for the parvovirus with my youngest having slapped cheek but they seem hopeful I should be immune with having so many children already.
We are 100% finding out sex I can't wait xxx

Wow theres a lot going on over your side.

At least you can have the scan before the wedding - saves a lot of 'lying' and awkward conversations

Yes so glad I have booked a scan for next week now and hopefully will all start to feel more real. Still don't think it's sunk in!

Definitely finding out the sex! When I’m going for my scan next week I’ll be 13 weeks so I’m going to ask if they can take a cheeky look and see if they can see anything, I know it’s HIGHLY unlikely they’ll be able to tell so early but I’m going to take a chance and ask anyway xx

Yes i have my scan tomorrow. Im so frightened and worried, but yet exited.
To begin with i didnt want to find out but now ive realised im too impatient to wait haha! I would book at private 16 week scan to find out gender but my husband works away. But luckily he will be home around the time of 20 week scan.
Ive already got a boy so a girl would be nice although i really dont mind. Is anyone finding out sooner than the 20 week scan?
Completely agree, girls clothes are always much nicer than boys! Character clothes for me are a big no so find it very difficult to find nice clothes for my son.

If they did more unisex clothes i think i would consider not finding out. But most places its jusy pink or blue

So 10+2 today and i am definitely feeling a few more twinges, pulls and stretches - if anything its actually comforting, its almost like a reassurance that he or she is progressing and setting up home

Is anyone using bio oil or the like? (other brands are also available )

I bought a big bottle which i have already started to use and will continue to do so - no harm in starting early i thought.

I’ve been getting quite a few niggles and stretchy type feelings, like quick sharp twinges, I get shooting pains up my bum aswell lol! I hope it’s growing pains!

Funnily enough I was thinking about starting bio oil this week, definitely no harm in starting early

Think my sickness is turning a corner now, only vomited twice yesterday and once today so far and I’m not as repulsed by food anyway although I’m still on the beige diet

11 days until my scan, just wish it was now arghhh!

Has everyone opted for the combined screening? Does anyone know when the blood gets taken for it is it at the same time as the NT scan? Xx

I’ve been using bio oil for about a week, I love it
I’m not sure, I think we’re just getting the NT but I’m not sure about the blood test thing either. It depends if they offer it on the day xx
