So I’ve been out today and bought sea bands, after vomiting all morning I was just desperate to try anything, they might actually be working as I haven’t retched since around teatime!

Anyone getting aches and pains? I’ve had a few sharp pains round the sides today and the odd bit of period type pain, it’s all so bloody worrying

3 weeks tomorrow till my scan arghh bloody hurry up :wall2:

Been suffering a bit with sickness, it’s more like an uncomfortable stomach feeling with bouts of retching and vomiting and gone off most foods, when did yours disappear before it come back beee? X

I think its 13 weeks. But some apps and websites say different. Im 10+5 today. Feeling exhausted, emotional and nauseous now and again. Starting to worry as symptoms seem to be dying down a bit. Although it could be normal i cant help but worry especially as i havent had a scan yet. 11 days until my 12 week scan and it cant come any sooner!

Exactly the same! Symptoms started to die down a bit now, i'm hoping it's just the placenta taking over, no early scan here either, 2 weeks to go

Oh lord, i cant take this beige diet anymore :wall2:

I just grabbed some grapes and strawberry's and ate half, which was a struggle, and had to give up and open a pack of lentil crisps!!!

Roll on trimester 2 so i can start to eat normally again!

Sisters due date is tomorrow but she said contractions started at 2am last night and her mucus plug has gone - as you can imagine, those two words meant nothing to me, but my HR lady soon confirmed 'oooo she could be on her way' eeeeeek its so exciting <3

I’m struggling with the diet too, luckily one of the healthier things I can stomach is fruit so I’m loading up on that where I can. I’m really worried about my protein intake as a veggie because I can’t stand lentils or pulses anymore - which limits my protein sources immensely. I’m genuinely considering eating some fish to try and combat this, but there’s so many rules about fish! Argh! Don’t know what to do!
Exciting times for your sister! :D xx

Oh no, that does make it a bit of a nightmare for you.
You are safe with most fish, i would just avoid shell fish - i think that is what they advise.
Oily fish, like cod and tuna i am sure you are ok to eat.
Like anything, as long as you arent eating it all day everyday you should be fine.

Aww how exciting IVW, the baby could be here very soon!

So today apart from throwing up this morning I’ve barely been nauseous, I’m 8+6 or probably more like 9 weeks today based on last scan and the last 10 days or so have been full on constant nausea, retching and a bit of vomiting thrown in but today it seems to have totally tailed off which is worrying me slightly :wall2: not sure if I’m just having a day off from it or what... anyone else experienced the nausea tailing off at this point? Hopefully it just means the hormones are plateauing :eh:

Yep, my nausea started disappearing about a week ago, keeping fingers crossed it's a good sign

Yep it was around that time it started dipping for me. But it didnt last long.. i would say 5 days out of 7 i felt nauseous. Then slowly nausea reduced and now its just now and again in waves. Im 11 weeks tomorrow and think the nausea has almost come to an end. Which is a relief but at the same time cant help but feel worried x

Thanks Laura that makes me feel a little better, i just have so much anxiety as I’ve had a chemical and blighted ovum this year it just hangs over me and makes me worry about everything, I have done a bit of reading up and apparently both hcg peaks around this point and the placenta starts to function soon so everything says it’s normal for symptoms to start easing up, I wish I could take my own advice ha ha, urgh the sooner our scans come round the better xx

Did I read you had a sickness band? Were you wearing that today?

If not, it's probably just easing off :-)

Yeah I bought them yesterday out of desperation as I felt that ill, I wore them for about 5 hours yesterday but took them off overnight as they are quite tight on your wrists and didn’t put them back on today, maybe wearing them yesterday did help a bit then! Or could just be hormones levelling out for a bit, hopefully :eh:

Just back from my scan ladies! All is well. It was amazing to see the little heartbeat.
