**** April 2019 mummies ****

At least you will save some money tomorrow then IVW! Think of how much money we will all save by not being able to drink over Christmas

Can you believe a non alcoholic cocktail is £6 at Maddison roof top bar  that is crazy!!! I pay £5 down my local for a gin cocktail :wall2:

I am glad i will be pregnant over winter and not summer, my summer has been mega with social events, so i am happy to hang out my liver for a bit

Anyone else 5+ weeks and not got much nausea yet? I’m having a little bit on and off but nothing major, I know not everyone gets it anyway!

£6 for a bit of juice! That’s so bloody cheeky

I’m glad I will be preg over winter too - nice cosy nights in front of the tv with a hot chocolate, it’s hard not to get excited yet, hurry up 12 week scan!! I feel like time has literally stopped :wall2:

I did ring up after work yesterday, but mine shut at 4:30pm, she did give me the direct line to where i would need to call, but i dont know if i am being impatient and should really just sit tight

Yep got my booking in appointment for Monday when I will be 6 weeks, they get you in really early here, which makes sense really as surely there’s a lot of ladies out there who weren’t ttc obsessed like us so won’t know to take folic acid etc, especially considering the doctor isn’t interested in seeing you either! I’m under Liverpool nhs trust the midwife last time was telling me they are trialing lots of new stuff here such as the early booking in appointment and they do the nipt test on the nhs here instead of an amniocentesis if your nuchal screening comes back high, so I’m hoping I’m going to be in good hands!

Oh wow, it sounds like you really are in the best hands - which is very reassuring.

Its just frustrating when its your first and you are literally clueless and the oh doesnt help with his impatience :wall2: which then makes me think 'oh should i be chasing them' - but i know they will be in contact and if not, i can just ring them.

You could always just give them a ring IVW and ask them what the process is and when they normally see you x

I’m 6+6 night owl and have only had the occasional bout of nausea :) I think everyone just reacts to HGV differently :) Welcome new mamas! Xx

5+1 today and the nausea has hit me like a tonne of bricks! Was doing a bridal party’s make up all morning and felt like I was going to be sick on every one of them! Thankfully not though haha. Really not feeling like eating and living on lucozade sport! Anyone else??

5+4 and I’ve been getting it on and off, I’ve had a few moments where I’ve felt like I might throw up but nothing really too serious, I’ve started to lose my appetite a bit and had a banging headache for the last 2 days though which just won’t go!

Just rang them - one word.....disorganised :wall2:

She had to come back to the phone 3 times to get my details :wall2: surely my name would be enough.

She then said someone will call in the next hour to make an appointment, i said, ok thats fine, i am at work so at least now i will know to look out for my phone ringing. To which she then says 'oh we can post you a letter with the appointment on if you want' - i replied 'no no no, please just call me so i can sort it there and then'

If you struggled working out who i am in the first place i am sure as hell not waiting for a letter.

I have a feeling i wont get a call.....

I had a headache pretty much every day all last week, but this week i am eating more so i think i have 'cured' it. I knew it was just a dehydration headache, so the extra cucumber and carrot sticks have helped.

No nausea for me *touch wood*

It’s ridiculous the way there’s a different system depending on where you live, it means people are getting different standards of care, I bet if you hadn’t phoned up no one would ever have contacted you!! If you don’t a call ring them back :wall2:

Oh wow that’s ages away for the general appointment, how do they know you’re not high risk and you’re taking folic acid and stuff, the whole thing is crazy! I haven’t got a scan date yet last time the midwife booked it at the booking in appointment, so hopefully I’ll get a date next week, should be around the 1st week of Oct but I’m booking a private reassurance scan for 3rd sept when I should be 8 weeks, so I’m just counting down to that now, that should break up the waiting a bit,

Are you going to find out what you’re having?

Is it? Its only next week?

You are right though, they should really just give some quick advice on the phone just to ensure us mums to be are off to a good start with the pregnancy. Thank god i have been taking folic acid for a few months now and have googled everything that i should and shouldn't eat etc. The girl literally couldn't wait to get off the phone tbh

If i was in your situation, i would do the same as well <3

On goes the continual waiting game ai

We are yes, i want to be prepared and i know i just couldn't wait that longer knowing i could find out earlier  i want this waiting game over as soon as :-)

Are you going to find out?

Ooooh yeah I’ve just read your comment again and seen 21st Aug, I was thinking September!! at least you’ve got something to look forward to next week yay!

I’m so undecided about finding out, OH definitely wants to but I wouldn’t mind it being a surprise, we’ll see! I need to shortlist some names after 12 week scan I’ve got quite a few that I like

This is the longest wait of my life though seriously I need to find some things to do to fill the time up so I don’t go crazy

Had my loooong booking in appointment today. Got there at 9.30 and waited 40 minutes and no sign of MW. Our hospital is tiny and no one knew where she was so I left. Get a call at 10.30 and it’s her, my appointment was 10.30 not 9.30..... too early for baby brain? Lol

Anyway it all went well. She said I will be consultant led becacase of my bmi and my eldest birth weight which will also mean I will get extra scans again, so not complaining :)

She took LOADS of bloods I nearly passed out lol she’s checking thyroid and all sorts because of my PCOS ( never had that before) and a glucose test as I have been sooo thirsty lately and that can be a sign of diabetes.

She’s hoping to get me a dating scan for Tuesday if they can fit me in as my dates are so unsure. Won’t complain getting a quick peak at whats in there, don’t think I will believe it until I see it, although the sickness is a good reminder of what’s going on lately.

Have a good weekend everyone x
