*** April 2018 Mummies ***

Good job I'm not too needlephobic anymore. After this it's bloods at 12 weeks then 28 weeks.
We never had to go to the go just an online form and a midwife from the hospital rings you back and then the community midwife then arranges all her bits.
I really want a scan may have to persuade other half.

I want a scan toooooo!! No way will OH let me - the scans are far too expensive and he already thinks I've wasted too much money on POAS tests!!! :poas:

It's £55 for the cheapest reassurance scan near me! :( I'll just have to be patient!

I have found one for £60 that seems to be the cheapest which is quite a lot. If it was half the price is do it for sure x

It was non stop needles for me last time cos I ending up on a drip from sickness and also needed the glucose test and anti d injection but I dont mind needles at all! When I was in hospital and hey were putting the drip in hubby couldn't even watch he hates them lol. I've just rang and asked and they've gave me the midwives number. Not Gina ring til Monday tho dont want to jinx it! I hope hubby let's me book the half price scan, would just be so nice to see a heartbeat,8 weeks just seems so long away!! X

I'm a poas addict too! Stuck to cheapies this time over than one clear blue and a digi double pack. You can easily spend a fortune on frer and the like can't you. I just love to see the line tho, tested again this morning!

It is really nice seeing that line. I've spent a fortune in Home bargains so far. Definitely could not afford to continue doing Clearblue or own brand digis!

I'd love a scan and if an offer comes up that means it's around £30 then I'll be booking it there and then!

Just had to go buy a couple of new bras a cup size bigger already. This happened before even getting my bfp with DS

Im thinking the same. Im popping out of mine....gutted as only bought it recentlt as it was a calvin klein one!

The cheapest ive found is £39 half price but im going for one thats £50 so i have option of transvaginal scan as this should defo pick up heartbeat. Resisted digi's so feel i can justify scan a bit more. Plus im only doing it because of my age and the increased risk x

I think scans are so nice for reassurance,we had one at 7 weeks with DD and seeing the heartbeat was just amazing. Funds are tighter now I've been off work looking after her but since I just started this weekend job he might be able to be convinced haha.

Just rang the midwives and they weren't in but receptionist has taken my details and said they'd phone me next week so the ball is rolling. Was gunna wait but couldn't help myself x

Its good to get your booking appt sorted soon as they get very busy and dont have appts left! My booking appf is at 10 wks so if id rang earlier, might have got one sooner x

Oh yeah I never thought of that. They probably are busy too since they'll cover a few villages.

Hope you had a nice nap loula,I'm dreading the tiredness coming with a toddler,I'll have to nap when she does when it hits xx

I really wish i could nap during the day. Ive tried but cant seem too. Im really tired too so would feel better having had a nap! Vaguely remember tri 2 having more energy?? X

Awww no,early nights and lots of sugar to keep you going melly! I'll take being tired if I can escape morning sickness. I had enough morning sickness to last a lifetime with DD so I think its my turn to have an easier ride lol. So far so good but early days!

I wish I could avoid the nap but I can't keep my eyes open. I feel so had on my daughter though we are hardly doing anything this summer holiday at the moment. She's currently cuddled up with me watching Moana x

Will keep my fingers crossed for you hun x

I'll take tiredness over MS anyday! Sounds horrendous!

And I still haven't heard back from midwife re booking appointment! I'm sure it was much easier first time round...

Honestly it's probably just because it's mid August. People are on holiday and the newly qualified staff are all starting and don't know where anything is.

Thanks Lander. Yeah, I know the woman who usually deals with booking appointments is on holiday but there was no answerphone message stating this and it took a call direct to community midwives to find out. They've now taken my details and passed them onto someone who is dealing with her stuff while she's away. I actually feel more relieved now I've spoken to someone though. I'm just impatient that's all!

Oh how frustrating xx

Cant believe noone has rang you yet cossie....you need to keep badgering them otherwise your appt and scan will be delayed! Off out for dinner tonight whilst my mum babysits! First time out for dinner with no wine! Anyone have any plans for the wkd?
