Anyone using oil / cream on their tummies?

Even if it is just a placebo then at least I'll smell nice and feel soft!

I love having soft skin! Makes you feel good :) The only thing is I look a right creep when I do, because Im forever feeling the skin on my arms! haha x

Well moisturised skin also helps with the aging process! x

Oh I look about 12 anyway, so not worried about that! x

Oilatum is lovely in the bath. Makes your skin nice and soft.

Last time I used a combination of bio-oil and palmers cocoa butter. I got my stretchies later on last time around and full expect to get more this time.

This time around I have some asda little angels cream (out of a little pack, it had stretch mark cream, moisturizing cream and nipple cream for £2. They also do a oil.) and palmers cocoa butter. All I need to do now is remember to use them.

Thats half the problem, remembering to use them! x

Same! i do lists, but forget to look at them! x

Is it actually true that they are kind of genetic?!

Mum never had any stretch marks with me, so I might not get them in that case!!
I've been using Bio-Oil from about 12 weeks pregnant, started a little bump when I was about 10-11 weeks... Haven't used it religiously, as I have tremendous baby brain! However, so far I have no stretch marks at all, only two TINY ones on my left boob. But from my boos being so massive anyway when growing up I have white ones on them anyway so it's all gravy!

I've found it very helpful even if the creams/oils don't aid with stretch marks, as my tummy was getting SO SO itchy with the stretching, and the oil seemed to sooth it alot!!

I'm kind of clinging to the hope that they are in some way genetic too!
My mum had 5 children and doesn't have a single stretch mark.
And I also only have 2 tiny ones on my left boob.
Fx that's how it'll stay lol x

I hope it is too, mum had the 3 of us and not a stretch mark (and hardly any bump with any of us) so I'm already taking after her with the tiny bump so hopefully will be the same for the stretch marks too! Although I also was told if you've ever had any stretch marks at all then you are more likely to get them in pregnancy than not. I got stretch marks as a teenager on my hips xxxx

you could join mine up and make some right random patters, they kinda go away from my belly button on either side and look like brackets, lol

I spoke to a beautician last week who advised that the last 6 weeks are when you will most likely get them so use more creams etc then, most people do have a type of skin that is more prone to them though. Fingers crossed 38 weeks and none so far and that's only remembering to use cocoa butter occasionally xx

Day 2 for creaming up and I have realised there is a reason I don't use body cream in general - because I can't be arsed

I'll do it after my evening bath later!!

It is a chore lol.

It would be so much better if my OH did it for me, but he CANNOT STAND having any creams or oils on his hands.. :( Damnit.

Aww boo to ur OH lol.
My hubby rubs it into my back for me.

But yes, its a major pain in the arse!!
I put some bio oil into my bath though so if I forget to rub a cream in, I don't feel so bad. And it makes ur skin feel so soft :) x

They are genetic and if you already have some pre-pregnancy you are likely to get them.
If your gonna get em your gonna get em x

I've been using natural Shea butter from the moment I found out as its really thick, rubbing it in morning and night. I moisturise everywhere else after showing so not too hard for me to remember. I recently introduced bio oil, I rub that in at night. Only bought bio oil because it was in offer in Cosco....two really large bottles for £16.99

My mum has stretch marks but my nan didn't so here's hoping. I have accepted I will more than likely have them though but it's nice to try and prevent ;)

xxx

im on my fourth child and i only have a few silvery lines on my lower belly, only noticable if you look closely. I used palmers lotion aswell. I havent started using anything yet - oops!! I forgot too! Baby brain~! haha x
