So Im totally fed up with tampons, they irritate me so much and I never seem to get a perfect fit for 'flow'! Im looking at the Mooncup, not sure yet but I think I might give it a go. It looks great and pretty easy and can't be any more messy than tampons? Towells just do my head in and I freak out about any potential odour!

Anyone use a Mooncup? :)

I was looking into these too! I'll keep a close eye on this thread! x

I looked at these about a year ago and considered getting one - I hate towels, and even though don't mind tampons (I just use the lowes absorbency ones) it looked like a good alternative.

I was talking to my mum about this last night. Shes a walker and apparently people she knows use them (you can go changing a tampon half way up a mountain!) and they recommend them. I think Im just going to go for it and get one.

Sod it, Ive just brought one. I'll let you know how I get on next month lol.

A silicone cup that is inserted during your period instead of a tampon or using pads. It can last up to 10 years, so massive saving and much more natural.

Oh... So you just I duno pour it out when you go the loo :/

Yup. Then I guess give it a rinse and put it back. I imagine you sterilise it between each cycle. Should be here tuesday so Ill have a good read on how it all works.

Just googled it and looks quite good tbh, but wud it be comftable? Deffo guna keep a eye on this thread for after babys born :)

I've been thinking about one of these too. Keeping an eye on this thread! X

we are all waiting for melio to test it out before we all run out and buy one lol
they sound good tho

I also wondered how you get them out without it spilling everywhere...

I have been thinking of getting one before so can't wait to hear how you get on with it Melio!

I consided using one before , but I suffer with endomitriosis and my periods and be really really bad (I often have to use three towels at once . So it probably would be much good to me ?

I must say, it feels a little strange that everyones waiting for my judgement on whether or not putting something up my foof works.

I think it could work for you tinytoes. You may have to change it a little more often but if you sometimes have to use a fair amount of liners then it really would help you save money. Its just a case of gaining confidence in it I think. I think for the first day or so I might wear a thin liner incase I havnt done it right!

I'm wondering the same thing as Rosa, how do you make pull it out without it spilling everywhere?

x

First I've heard of it, I'll be keeping an eye here x
