Anyone use a Mooncup?

I bought one and used it for the first time last month after debating for ages whether to get one, it does take a while to get used to inserting and removing, but I tell you what I wish I had bought one ages ago it's fantastic, I used to always have to wear a pantyliner with a tampon but I didn't need anything with the mooncup. I only needed to empty it twice a day on heavy days and just once during the day on light days and it ways never full, I cannot recommend it enough!!!

I consided using one before , but I suffer with endomitriosis and my periods and be really really bad (I often have to use three towels at once . So it probably would be much good to me ?

I read on their website that the MC holds three times more than super tampons..so it could be just the thing for you! :flower:

I am going to get one after reading these posts so thanks laydeees!

I had to google it that looks like one funky looking piece of equipment lol! X

I googled too Evie and had to turn my head in a few directions trying to work out what goes where lol I'm not sure on it! I'll wait and hear what Helen and Mel have to say x

Oooh?? First I've heard. Just googled it. Sounds great!!!

I'll defdo bear it in mind for when I need to next !

:/ i just googled it, what if it goes up too far? id be worried id suck it up too far or something. it doesnt say anything like that in the FAQ bit though x

It isn't really possible to insert it too high there is a stem that you cut according too your own size and preference and if u can't reach the stem for removing it u jut bear down a little and you can get it then

I've been using my Mooncup for a good few years now and I LOVE it. There is no way I would go back to tampons! Mooncup all the way!! I've also got some cloth pads which I use for backup on heavy days (although I've never needed to, I just like the security!), and instead of disposable pads on lighter days.

My advice has to be GO FOR IT! There's a little bit of faffing involved, but not much, and it doesn't take long to get into the swing of things.

It doesn't go that far so don't worry about loosing it :) it sits lower than a tampon generally, you'll soon find the natural place for it to sit. I would say not to cut the little stalk too soon, take time to get used to it, then you'll know how much, or how little you need to trim.

I got mine the other day. Not due on for another 2 weeks but couldnt help myself and thought Id just see if it was comfortable and once it was in the right place I couldnt even feel it. No idea what itll be like while on my period but cant see how its going to be rubbish. Also, the cup looks huge (in a sense of how much it can hold, its not actually huge) so if you have a heavy period I wouldnt worry :)

Keep saying I'm getting one and forget. Reviews I've read is that they are great but can take some getting use to x

You will love it. It's my second period with my mooncup in and no leaks still. The suction is quite strong when you try to remove it the first few times but the key is to relax. It doesn't take long to get used to it. You might notice you may need to empty your bladder more with it. Don't let that put you off using it. I haven't emptied it in public toilets yet. I'm typing with mine in lol. I can't feel at all and no cramping. Make sure it sits just behind the pubic bone unfolded and you shouldn't have problems with leaking even at night. It's much easier to insert with the stork cut off completely. You don't need the stork really. I found it leaks more with the stork intact. Don't pull it out with the stork without breaking the seal first. There is no way it can come out on it's own. I didn't practice before using it either. I just rinse or soak mine in warm water to make it soft to insert in between. I empty mine twice a day. I just use milton before using it. I don't trust myself boiling it in a pan in case it melts if I forget about it haha.
