Anyone over 35 ttc?

Hey,

Just joined here so thought I would say hello. Been ttc on and off for 3 years. We took a break as we were concerned about affording for me to be on maternity leave. I am 37 and my husband is 40 in July so we have made the decision that we just need to go for it and forget about the money as it will hopefully it will sort itself out. Anyone in a similar situation? I am not sure whether I should go to my GP for tests as we did try for year but nothing happened.

Hello!

I'm 38 and currently TTC . My partner is 47 and it will a first baby for both of us. I've recently had bloods done, just waiting on his gp so he can sort his sample appointment out. They said the earliest appointment is 18 may! So frustrating....so I'm gonna check my blood results in the meantime to see if there is anything I should be doing etc.
Similar to you - probably can't afford a baby right now, but seriously, when can you?! x

I ended up booking an appointment to see my GP next week. I thought I better get the ball rolling just in case. How long have you been trying for Tina? I am hoping that it won't take too long to fall but I feel that it will. I agree, there is never the best time to have a child and we will struggle financially but we just decided we just needed to go for it. ��

Well, I came off the pill over a year ago and got pregnant pretty much much straight away. However we miscarried last May.
We've been trying ever since, really frustrating! My cycles are affected by stress so I've changed my job role due to this. Decided that things are more important.
I hardly ever have any ewcm now and have bought some vitamins to try and stimulate this. just trying to dtd when my app guesses around my fertile period. Makes it all less romantic, but hey.... Good luck to you! x

I'm 41 and my hubby is 38. Been trying for 18mnths but have had tons of weight to lose. Nearly down to optimum weight .. just had lots of bad luck with cold and tummy bugs this year. We will strugle to afford a baby too, but will manage somehow.

If you scroll down there is a thread for the over 40's. I've been ttc for just over 2yrs, I'm 44 and caught pregnant last September, unfortunately I lost it. No luck so far and will be giving up when I turn 45 in August. x
