Anyone Done The Special K Diet, Does It Work?

To help kick-start your healthy eating habits, eat two bowls of the 10 delicious varieties of Special K cereal - one for breakfast and the other for lunch or as an evening meal, then enjoy a third nutritionally balanced meal everyday for two weeks. You can snack on fruit and vegetables too.
 
My friend did it and gained weight the idiot was putting semi skimmed milk on it not skimmed lol
 
Actually dunno what I'm laughing at I'd prob use full fat without thinking lol
 
I tried, I got the emails...you can snack as well as have the 2 bowls during the day.
Needless to say, I gave up. Though by signing up you get access to the menu's and recipies :thumbup:

I dont like that much cereal....ok I'll be honest.....I love my grub!! :rofl:

I love special k!! I did the diet ages ago, it worked and I used full fat milk, I lost a few pounds but found myself sick of cereal for ages, so ate toast instead and put the weight all back on...to be honest I I were you I would just stick to healthy eating, to be honest special k is full of sugar (yes I know, *******s) and it's all carbs! Each meal should contain carb and protein, carbs being 60% and protein being 40% of each meal. Spesh k isn't doing your body any favours, I'd suggest sticking to wholegrain bread with a poached egg for brecky, humous and celery for snack, a nice tuna salad or chicken salad or pasta for lunch, and a healthy dinner option. Best way :) x
 
I did it a few years ago (oh my, it was about 7!) and although I didn't lose any weight according to the scales, my stomache definitely got flatter.

It was the no snacking I really struggled with though!!

Oh, and I used semi skimmed, and as at the time there wasn't the variety there is now, so I used cinammon grahames :)

you have to eat quite small portions of the cereal too. I dont think its the best diet in the world. Prob better off having 2 weetabix or something with no sugar in. when I diet I make a massive bowl of fruit salad every other day and keep it in the fridge, I have it for breakfast and snacks. Then salad for lunch. Ok thats it, Im off to lidl to buy fruit and salad!
 
I did this before my wedding and i lost over a stone but i was naughty and i did it for longer than two weeks and eating wasnt a problem cos i was soo stressed! but the thing that helped me was to have my main meal as lunch and then have the cereal for dinner this is better for you anyway and you have less calories to burn before bedtime :-)
 
My friend did this a couple of months back, first few days she said she loved it and she did drop a few pounds, but then after a week she was so sick of it she would only do it a few days a week and then a week later she had given up and nah.. she didnt loose an amount worth it, about 2lbs i think but she gained it again. xx
 
I tired to start the diet, but the serving size is tiny and i was starving.

I had quit by tea time :)

I don't stop pouring cereal until the bowl is full normally :blush:
