Its an experiment where they take the TV of kids for 2 weeks and see how it effects their behaviour.

This one family have had their tv, kids tv, kids dvd, nintendo and psp taken off them (they also have a laptop)

The girls dont even have a proper bed   they sleep on a mattress on the floor :x :x

get yer flippin priorities right!!!

Watched a bit of it then came on here!!

I taped it last night as DH was watching something else. I plan to watch it later with my lunch...will report back on it then. Did you find it interesting though?

My attantion wasnt on it 100% but i was astonished by the family with all the mod cons but no proper bed for the children. It made me mad thats all.

I think the conc. was quite interesting but I wont spoil it for you

Ok so I've already watched it. I thought the impact on Natasha was quite significant, the brothers were also quite interesting, they played better together before and after the ban and although school work didn't really recieve any benefit from them I do wonder if that's because not the whole class participated in the experiment and that in honestly the experiment was too short. 2 weeks you might see slight changes but it's more longer term you'll see the benefits (same as say a diet, in 2 weeks you might loose a few pounds but start re-eating again straight afterwards and you'll re-gain it. Diet for a year and you'll see dramatic changes type thing and find the food is more a life style change rather than a temporary change) - does that make sense. Anyway interesting.

Oh and the bed thing...I rewinded the recording....when they were tucked into bed watching the DVD at the start the girls were in bunk beds...when they were tucked in without the TV they were on, well matresses on the floor type thing. Wondering why that was, perhaps a comfort thing while they adjusted or something? I don't know but they were in bunk beds the first time they were tucked in (with the DVD playing). Strange really.

Our LO won't be having a TV etc in his bedroom...something we decided when my stepchildren moved out, they were anti social would shout at us if we disturbed them while watching something crappy like Emmerdale Farm etc, not normal in my opinion so no TV's upstairs for LO I'm afraid. I've learned a lot having had the older children experience I have to say.

We've not got a tv upstairs in our house. I used to at home with my mum but to be honest I absolutely hate dropping off to the TV- If im dropping off infront of the tv downstairs it tells me its time for bed. I think the quality of sleep is effected and I dont want my LO picking up any bad habits. My sister drops off to the tv and wonders why her baby boy has poor quality sleep a few months down the line.
