im considering using a tns machine for labour and was hoping some of u could tell me how effective it was please?

I used one and it worked brilliantly for me. Best advice I can give is use it from the start. Don't wait for labour to get painful. Use a proper labour one as it has a boost button. Make sure your oh knows how it works as a few times I got in a mess with it lol!
I went to hospital to be checked when contractions were very close together and was 8cm. Took it off for a while when I got in the pool but put it back on later and gave birth with it on.
They say it's only effective for early labour but for me I think it was mind over matter and a good distraction pushing the boost button.

Again, I would say use it early. I hesrd great things about them so decided I would give it a go but I held off during early labour thinking it would be more useful later. Unfortunately I was wrong and left it too late for it to really be of any help. I will be trying it again this time and using it from the start! Good luck x

thank u. did u manage to put the pads on by yourself? im hoping to get my self hooked up and buzzing away while i wait for my oh to get home if hes at work.

You can put them on yourself but it's better for someone else to do it to get the positioning right x

I never used one last time I am definelty going to try it this time, only really heard good things x

They are great, but I'd advise to keep it on from early labour as they work progressively and build up so if you remove it you start from scratch. I was shocked at the relief it gave me after I took it off for a bath. But it wasn't worth putting it back on as I was too far gone for it to benefit me again. I had mine from the maternity ward I think you can book them so you don't pay anything.

The only issue for me was being on a monitor and having to have a button for each in each hand, can get a bit much x
