Any other March 2018 Mummies :)

Congratulations loopylou, that's fantastic news! So happy for you :)

I've got my first midwife appointment booked in (finally!) but they couldn't give me one until 7th August. I'll be close to ten weeks by then, do you think I'll have to wait long for my first scan after that? Kicking myself for not getting myself organised sooner, but it's been hard to get in touch with the midwife hub here!

Yay great news Lou! You must be so relieved.

I was passing the doctors today so went in to fill in the form so they can refer to to the midwives here for first appointment, no idea how long that will be in they said will write to me. Only 5 + 2 but thought worth getting the form done when I was passing.

Does anyone know will my first midwife appointment be my booking in appointment? Living I. Different areas since my first pregnancy 4 years ago and it's all been centralised since so no idea how it works, last time I had to go through GP but now just this form.

Merry I was reading about screening today on NHS website and it says the screening for sickle cells should be done before 10 weeks, ago I'm not sure if this is done by midwife??

Hopefully someone who is clued up will tell us! Also should be start a March Mummies thread so we can all put our due dates?? Think anyone getting s BFP from now on will be due in April xx

Midwifes seem to work so different everywhere!
I don't think my appointment today was the full booking in appointment, I think that will be the one next week. She's probably hoping I'll fill in most of the forms so it takes less time to complete the appointment? I have no idea!

I have a leaflet about sickle cell screening and it just says early pregnancy

I think a March mummies thread with due dates would be lovely
I'm so scared because it's still so early!! But if someone would love to start one that would nice :D

I just looked this up and the NHS site does say you are usually checked for sickle cell by ten weeks, but it is highly unlikely that it would be an issue for me anyway (pretty much limited to certain ethnicities) so I'm not going to worry too much.

And a March thread would be good, I would be rubbish at updating it though so not going to volunteer to run it as I'm not the most organised!
