anti-d injections

i had my midwife appointment last friday and she said that because my blood group came back as negative i have to have anti-d injections. she didnt really explain a lot about it, has anyone else had these or need to have them too?

I remember learning about this in school when I was quite young and already knowing that I was negative so it would affect me. I remember being quite scared about it because they didn't mention these injections that fix the situation!

I have to have them to. There are quite a lot of girls on here that do. Its nothing to be scared of. Its just a simple injection into you bottom.

Yeah i have to have them too. One at 28 weeks and another at 34 weeks. Little injection in your bottom.

hey vicki, dont worry about it as the other girls have said its just a quick injection in your bum. I had my second one last monday, it does sting a wee bit if they put it in too fast but its not sore.
My midwife was telling me when i got it that its a natural body product anyway, its just that some people dont produce it (like a diabetic taking insulin injections), so its not anything artifical going into you.
