Forgot to add that Tuesday night OH went to the supermarket as we were running low on baby milk and they had none of her comfort milk in, so he came back with the original sma that she was on before i had thought about putting her back onto it with the colief as her sleeping patterns and witching hours etc have become a nightmare but i was going to give it a little while longer at least! Anyway...yesterday we took the kids to the park then went to visit my gran before having an hour at mums, Lexi was pretty well behaved and slept mostly, Elise was great too! Got home and my little shit of a half brother (who's 4) woke Lexi up after she had only been asleep an hour if that! And from that point on it was chaos, i was so ready for ringing the doctor out or something, she screamed constantly and just would no be settled, i tried giving her a nice bath but she screamed more. I finally got her to sleep at 6:30pm and i just left her to sleep on me as i wanted her to get a decent sleep and didnt want to disturb her and have all that screaming again! She slept until just after 11 and seemed ok when she woke for a feed! I took her up to bed at around 11:30pm after feeding her downstairs, she woke at 12:50am for a feed, again seemed perfectly fine in her self, fed and went straight back down then she woke at 4:20am which was excellent for my little miss, she actually woke me from all the thrusting noises that she was making, abviously having a poo and it sounded bad so i got her out changed her bum...and that was it, went to give her the bottle and she started crying, was unable to settle her again, Elise woke up so i ended up heading downstairs to give Elise and OH some peace. Rocked her to sleep finally and popped her in her car seat (reclined flat) where she is currently still sleeping! Dunno if the screaming is down to the change in milk and her getting used to it again or whether shes not very well (she has had a little cough for a couple of days and keeps getting a shivery lip when its not even cold) Gonna see how she gets on today. I am hoping shes gonna be ok as we have a visit to the farm planned today which presents another nice hurdle...pissing about with the colief while out and about when it has to go in formula that is body temperature...think i may have to see if mum has a flask!

we had such a good day at the farm yesterday, apart from screaming for a feed as soon as we got there, elexis was good as gold we went to mums afterwards for a coffee and to let the kids play a little longer then home. Elexis slept loads back home and didnt even have her usual witching hour, which was a bad thing as she was waking loads through the night and actually took loadsa milk rather than just the odd oz here and there, maybe all that fresh air made her mega hungry fingers crossed she has a better night tonight, she done really well sleeping for more than an hour the 2 previous nights before last night thought we were finally gettinng the old lexi moo back.

We our Lexi was a very well behaved baby yesterday, i think shes finally got used to been back on the normal sma and colief, we had no screaming episodes or crying, she had some decent sleep through the day but also some good awake time also! For instance, she woke at 4:30pm for a feed (usually bloody does when i'm trying to eat my tea lol) and then didnt go back to sleep until 9:30pm and for once she didnt get whingy during her "witching hours" lol! Cue me thinking "yeah, shes had some good awake time today, should sleep lovely for me tonight" errrm nope! I think she slept for a good 2 hours when we got to bed, but then after that it was quite frequent, that frequent i gave up looking at the time! She levelled back out at about 3:30am, and went over an hour sleeping! She is still sleeping now (although not since her last feed at 3:30am, she woke again at 5 ish) Ahh the lil madam she is! Just wish we could get her to sleep for longer on a night! Obviously nothing to do with the flow of milk being too slow as we changed teats to cover that, i think personally its because she falls to sleep on the bottle before getting her fill...which is a nightmare and she just will not be woken to take more, she pouts if i try i'm sure one day we will get there with her lol

Well, again Lexi had lots of awake time yesterday, she wasnt whingy with it again so i think the sma gold and colief are a better combination for her as she seems a lot happier in her self! She didnt have a witching hour as such, probably about an hour feeding on and off around the usual witching hour time. Her last feed downstairs was just before 9pm and she was asleep by 9pm, i took her up to bed at 11pm and she woke for her first feed of the night at 11:30 so she did really well to sleep that long! Her next feed was 12:50am so after an hour as usual grrr, but then she went until 3:30am after this feed which was good...then it went tits up again after this feed and went back to been hourly...just cant understand her! she did start stirring at 2am but i thought i would leave her until she was on he vere of crying and the plan worked as she dropped back off so i thought maybe that was where i was going wrong, getting her straight out as soon as she stirred so i tried it differently last night but it still didnt work! Fab ha!

Elise is going swimming with her aunt and uncle again today, they said she did fab last week and was trying her hardest to swim so i told our carl to see if he could learn her to swim properly seen as though shes eager to learn

Aww well proud of my little munchkin she was awake loads yesterday, even after her bath at tea time she only slept for 45 minutes! i finally got her to sleep at 9:30pm but she woke again for feeding at 10:35pm so i fed her and got her down to sleep on the sofa for an hour before bed! Anyway i decided to go to bed at 11:15 and missus didnt wake for her next feed until 01;05am, she took a good 4oz and went back down straight away and next woke at 4am granted after this feed she woke hourly but then she wasnt taking much in the way of milk, maybe the odd oz or 2 but i didnt mind, at least i got some decent sleep in blocks instead of it being broken all night!

Ended up going swimming yesterday too, my brother and his girlfriend were supposed to be taking her half sister and Elise but my brother said he was tired and wanted to watch the footy, so i left Elexis with the OH and had a couple of hour out. I really enjoyed it tbh, was nice having a small break from Lexi and spending some quality time with my big girl plus i managed to swim a fair few lengths and felt much better after wards! Think i may be inclined to go more often now hehe!

Yeah i wish i could swim. James said he would take Leo a million times but fails to as he always blows the money for it on drugs or fags can't believe him to be honest.

Always the bloody case...wish Elexis would stick to a routine as such! Yesterday she did nothing but sleep and i just knew she would have a crappy night for me! She had a witching hour last night too, a bit of a maungy one tbh, finally got her to sleep at around 8pm, she woke for a feed at 11pm downtairs and i took her up at 11:28pm...by 11:32pm she was awake wanting another feed, fed her put her down and got my head down, didnt feel like i had been asleep that long when she woke again and i was right 12:42am it was, i gave up looking at the time of waking after a while as it was just so frequent! And now the little shit is all snug and sleeping like a log in my bed with her daddy and has been since 5am :/ i swear i'm gonna keep poking her and moving her to keep her awake today

We have our 6wk checks today...better late than never i guess! And my poor babba has her jabs next wednesday n'awww mum said she would take her for me but even though i hate taking em for the jabs, i'd rather be there for her, mum can come along though, moral support wouldnt go a miss

hey hun, just thought i would catch up on ur journal. I can't believe what a hard time u have with lexi sleeping at night. I thought baby's on formula slept for longer periods between feeds? Hope u have had a good day with lexi today.

My doctors don't do the post natal checks until 8 weeks here, baby is meant to be seen at 6weeks but mum at 8 weeks, so they do it all at 8 weeks. My appointment is in 2 weeks. xx

She's a bugger Kanga haha!! Elise was exactly the same so i was half expecting Lexi to be a good baby grr lol!

I went for my post natal check and the nurse told me they dont do them any more she said its more family planning and contraception now. She just asked about the birth, if i had had stitches and if so how were they, asked if my bowels were ok and my boobs etc and that was about it, didnt even do BP or weight as the doctor had done them the month before...waste of a trip really...for me anyway! All was fine with Lexi though, OH had to take her in for her app as hers was at 9:10am and mine was 9:30am but they were running late so Lexi didnt go in until 9:25am was a bit worried as OH is useless as dressing her and changing nappies etc but he did well and she behaved haha!

Missy Moo was a bugger yesterday...she had about 1 1/2 hours sleep all day, finally got her to sleep at 9pm, i was completely flagging so OH told me to go up to bed as Lexi should sleep for while, got up there at 9:22pm (accurate i know haha) and she was awake by 9:34pm so i fed her put her back down, ten minutes later awake again, i was trying to get her to sleep for over an hour and was getting really fed up as my eyes were so heavy i just wanted her to sleep! Eventually OH came up and told me to get my head down while he got her to sleep for me, i woke at 11:30pm to little miss fast asleep in her moses basket so OH had done the trick bless him, but then she woke ten minutes later, i fed her put her back down and luckily she stayed asleep...i woke to her eating her hand and moaning, looked at the time...4am so chuffed she finally made it past the 4hr sleep mark after this feed she woke at 5:30am and then again at 7am! I knew once she was fast on she would sleep well as she just didnt sleep yesterday! You can guarantee that she will sleep loads today and then wake hourly for feeds tonight...always the case roll on when she decides to cane 6oz in one go and sleep for nice 4hr blocks, or better still...sleeps from 11pm until 6am hehe!

Yay for a good night hun, I always get an amazing night followed by a crappy one. Although last night was amazing bed at 10pm, up between 3-4am then up at 7am!! He has been awake and grouchy all morning though. I think I feel more tired too because of all the sleep xx

misscrazycooki, her tummy seems ok now, we havent had any more green poo since going back on the colief and the nurse at her 6wk appointment even said she can be coming off of the colief soon so just gonna stick to sma at the mo

Ahh Kanga yes Lexi was the same yesterday, i thougt she would sleep all day ready to give me my expected bad night but she didnt sleep as much as i expected and was a bit of a grouch at times!

Soooo because she was half half yesterday, slept al lot on the morning and spent most the afternoon/evening awake...we had another decent night as far as sleep goes she fell asleep downstairs at 21:50, i went up to bed with her at 22;00 and she woke for her first feed at 12:40am, the next feed was 03:10am, then 05;00am after this feed she woke at 05:30am for a nappy change and then woke ready for another feed and to get up (as she was wide awake) at 06:30am i actually feel like i got some sleep...i even had dreams...dont seem to sleep enough to have dreams lately but there ya go so heres hoping she spends the morning sleeping and the afternoon awake again and pray i get another decent sleep and that missus is finally getting herself into a routine!

Not got much on today, my friends nipping up with her 9mnth old baby and 2 boys for a coffee, so you can bet my house is gonna look like a shit tip again by the time they have all finished playing! really quite fancied a lazy day today too...i've had mum up all week for a couple of hours having a coffee and a chat while my 4yr old half brother wrecks the house, dont seem to have had a day to myself for a while!

Oh my...dare i say it...3 nights in a row...will it continue??!! So missus went to sleep on the sofa at 8:30pm last night, she woke around 10 ish for a feed and we went up to bed at 10:50pm. She woke for her first feed of the night at 23:25 which wasnt too bad as i wasnt asleep by then anyway after pottering around since coming to bed! She next woke for a feed at 02:25am and then 04:50am last wake up was 06;00am but ive noticed by that time shes ready to be down stairs in her swing and has a couple of hours asleep in there which she is currently doing now so proud of mi mush...hope i start seeing the benefits soon as i'm still getting super heavy eyes mid afternoon and then again by 7pm ish before i get my 2nd wind!

We went to the ducks yesterday with mum and my half bro and my 2 girls, was lovely, had Lexi in the sling, she looked slightly bemused dunno why not like ive not used it before although it was a fair few weeks back! She had a nice bubble bath too last night but the little angels stuff that i got to put in there (the bedtime one) made my hands itch something chronic may have to stick to johnsons! At least missus enjoyed her bath, fell straight to sleep afterwards

Aww glad u had a better nights sleep, although Harry went down at 11ish he last ate at 9:30pm, up at 1:30am, back to sleep by 2:30am then up at 5:30am and he hasn't long dropped off again. So he spends alot of time awake keeping me up lol. Hoping to catch some zzz now, although he will probably be up in less than an hour! xx

aww bless him, i dont seem to be feeding Lexi for too long before shes back down again, maybe 20mins tops and she usually takes around 3oz! Just glad were not going hourly atm as that was harsh, waking for a feed, feeding for 20mins so basically gettin 40mins sleep between each feed was very very harsh i can tell ya lol!

They are harsh nights lol. Luckily Harry hasn't done many of those, although he has those hourly feeds during the day before! I feel like a right cow and stuck on the sofa all day. He stirred at 7:15, then slept til 8:30, so can't complain, although he has only just stopped feeding!!

3oz isn't that much in one go, Harry can take 4-5oz if I give him a bottle of ebm. Explains why she doesn't asleep for long, but u've said before that she is lazy at feeding. Hope things continue improving for u xx

well ive started leaving lexi until she starts gettin really whingy before i feed her because ive noticed 9 times out of 10 she will nod back off! And yeah 3oz aint much at all, most shes taken in one go is 5oz, she usually does 4oz through the day but thats with stopping and starting about 3 times lol! seems shes on a roll though fingers crossed, shes started sucking her fists over the past week too, i think shes gonna eventually find her thumb and soothe herself that way as she hates dummies unfortunately and personally i think having a dummy (or the thumb hopefully) will stop her wanting to feed as much as she has a bottle to fall to sleep with.
