And then there were 2 :)

Hugs hun hope she settles soon, I had a night from hell last night he just wouldn't go back to sleep wanted to stay awake and play the little turd then was windy and wouldn't burp :(

Elexis can be really hard to wind sometimes...although that colief is really really good and its loosened her poo up loads, in fact its loosened it that much that she shat earlier n it was all up her back, started wiping and she pushed more out which ended up on the bloody sofa and then when i was folding the nappy up i got it all over my thumb  gross!!! And for once it was yellow and very runny! She over bloody tired atm, shes been fed winded etc etc and has been awake since 9am so i've popped her in her swing and leaving her to whinge for a bit as she self settled the other day after a few minutes and went to sleep on her own! Fingers crossed she nods off soon otherwise it looks like pacing the bloody floor with her again lol xx

Ugh...i feel deflated, defeated and just damn right horrid! Elexis probably slept a total of 4hrs all day yesterday, finally got her to sleep at 9:30pm last night, 10:30 i went to bed and took little miss with me, at 11pm she woke for a feed (which i half expected) then she woke again at 11:15pm, then midnight :( i could have just cried...then after the feed at midnight she went until 2:15am, went straight back down and then next woke at 4:50am, got her back to sleep after that feed and WAS going to go back to sleep myself, until she started stirring and was continuously stirring until 5:30am so as per usual i got up with her hoping and praying she would have one last feed downstairs and go to sleep in her swing...no such bloody luck, she just cried, and fidgeted, spat the bottle out, spat the dummy out and just wouldnt settle! Finally got her to sleep half hour ago...but dunno how long it will last!
i am not ashamed to say i am bloody well struggling with this atm, lack of sleep doesnt help, then theres the fact that i hate that my OH pops downstairs for a quick drink of water before heading back off to bed when he's slept all fecking night!!! Winds me right up...i have done the night feeds since she was born, i have changed every nappy, done every bath, given 95% of the feeds (he does them if i go have a bath or am in the middle of doing the washing or something) i'm the one that gets her dressed...i do EVERYTHING!! and all i get off OH..."well you know what your doing, shes got more of a bond with you..." blah blah blah! Fed up.com! Sounds awful but i could really just take mi self for a very long walk when things get tough and i get shit all help!

Rant over...

x

What a turn around...Elexis did nothing but sleep yesterday, at first when we got up at the crack of dawn as per she was whingy and fidgety and i really thought we were gonna have another bad day. We went to my brothers for a BBQ and she just slept, apart from feed times obv. She had a whingy fidgety hour around 6ish, got home at 9pm, straight into her jimjams while she slept, she had a top up feed, then straight back to sleep. i took her up to bed with me at 10:45pm and she woke not long after for a feed. she then woke at 2am and then again at 4:40am and that was that...i actually feel quite refreshed like i actually got some sleep :) fingers crossed this is my good baby returning

xx

Well they are having growth spurts at four weeks hun that could have been why she was mental the other day x

Ahh...didnt realise they had another at 4weeks...could very well explain the "bad" day lol! if thats what it was...then i aint liking these growth spurts one little bit  just glad shes back to sleeping through the day AND night, granted shes still having a fussy hour or two but i can cope with that

xx

Lexi woke every 2hours for a feed last night, got to her 4:30am feed and then just made silly noises for an hour (sure shes trying to tell me something lol) so we ended up gettin up with OH at 5:30am. Gave her a feed downstairs and put her in her swing and got my head down on the sofa for a nap and only just woke up...result! Just rung doctors too, we are there at 10:35am so i'm gonna see if i can get some colief on prescription as i'm all outta it now :( and also speak to the GP about her maybe having reflux too! Just glad we have some nice sunny weather to walk down to the docs in :) laaaaarvly!

xx

God, Lexi was a nightmare from 5:30pm yesterday, she just would not sleep and was so maungy with it, you could see she was fighting it! OH finally got her to sleep at 9:45pm and i took her up to bed then at 10pm. she then woke at 10:15pm for a feed and was in and out of her moses basket 3 times before she finally went down properly. she then woke at 1:30am but was feeding on and off until after half 2, then it was 4:30am when she was next awake for a feed and after that she slept until 6:30am.
Not long since had an explosion of poo as well, felt her push it out while i was winding her, laid her on the bed and when i picked her back up it was all over the quilt, her vest at the back was covered cue mission to clean baby and quick lol. Just trying to get the lil madam to sleep, got loads to do and cant do sod all while shes clinging to me grr, go to sleep Lexi moo

xx

We didnt have a bad day at all with Lexi yesterday, she was hard to settle first thing in the morning then had a good old scream in town (partly because she needed feeding and changing and i needed to find somewhere to do it) We spent the day at mums to let the kids play in the pool and mum took over baby duties for a short while, but she was good as gold anyway for her grandma :) then we went shopping with OH, usually shes quite fidgety round the asda and nearly always wants feeding while were doing the shopping but she didnt, she slept for half of the shop and when she woke up she was just looking around having a little smile to her self! The witching hour dawned on us and all was quiet, she started a little later though with the restlessness and fighting sleep...7:30pm but luckily, no screaming and i managed to get her settled for 9pm! As far as night feeds go i was that tired i really didnt take much note! She had a feed when i took her up to bed at 10:45pm, she woke for a feed somewhere around 12-1 ish and woke for one ay 3:30am (i remember that one lol) and then her next one was 5:30 when OH was getting up for work! All in all not so bad! Just sick of hallucinating on a night because of lack of sleep, seriously see some weird stuff...even picked her dummy up the other night and started shaking it thinking it was her bottle  Ahhh the joys, hurry up Elexis and sleep through for your mummy

xx

had a busy day yesterday, went to grans with mum and the kids where Lexi had another explosive nappy episode, mum had to wash her romper suit at grans and shoved it in the dryer before we could go. Then we went to matalan so mum could get Lexi some new clothes :) we liked that part of the day the most  then back to mums for a late lunch. Lexi was good as gold all day, she had her usual fighting sleep session come 6pm and i didnt get her settled while gone 9pm again. We went up to bed at 11pm, little miss woke for a feed 5 mins later, she next woke just after midnight for a feed and then it was 3;05am, then 4:30am so we didnt do too badly especially as she seems to have caught mine and Elises cold, she sounded really snuffly this morning :( bless her, so all 3 of us girlies are ill, ive got a bloody ear and chest infection to add to my shitty arse cold :( lazy day is in order today i'm thinking!

Elexis has also started reaching out for things, she has a duck that hangs from her swing, she smiled at it wednesday tea time then reached out for it, then last night our black and white cat was rubbing her head on Lexi's hand, so Lexi turned her head to look at the cat, gave the biggest grin then reached out and grabbed the cats tail  me and OH were laughing at the lil tinker, shes growing so fast, got her weighed at mums yesterday, i got on the scales first then got on with Lexi and she weighs 12lb  the bloody chubster lol.

xx

Had a great day with Elexis yesterday, she slept most of the day and didnt have "the witching hour" lol in fact she was fed at 5:30pm and didnt wake up while just after 9:30pm for her next feed! She then woke at 11pm, 1:15am, 3;05am and then after that feed it went a bit pete tong, her nose sounded really stuffy and she was getting agitated by it so she was really restless after that feed, so i'm a little shattered today but i cant blame the poor mite, must be awful for her!

Elise has been really quite naughty of late too, we just dont know whats got into her! Usually OH is quite chilled with her minor behavioural problems and doesnt really tell her off much, but for the past few days he has taken her up to her room for time out. She just will not do as she is told, she back chats when we tell her off and all we get is "i dont care" or "so" She was playing with the digital thermometre wednesday aft and i asked her to put it back on the table before it got broke...asked her 3 times and because she was messing with it it flew out of its case onto the floor, so i told her off and said if she had listened in the first place that wouldnt of happened and to put it back, again, ignored me so i gave her until the count of 3 to put it down otherwise she was going to her room, was just about to say 3 when she put it down on the table...i sat back and in her temper she swiped it off the table across the room...i was fuming, i have never known her be like that before! She had a better day yesterday, every time she didnt do as she was told i reminded her that she promised to behave from now on etc, so we shall see how she is today! Really dont need her misbehaving though with having a hard time with Elexis and having a cold + chest and ear infection + lack of sleep wish she would understand this and wish OH would be more understanding too...he came home from work last night had tea and slept! Nice...just great...what i would give to do that!

My poor baby yesterday, she woke with a very stuffy nose but seemed ok in her self but as the day went on she just screamed and screamed more, like a painful scream, every time she woke, she would cry and it was so hard to settle her or get her to feed, eventually we rung NHS direct who said she needed to be seen, so we rung our doctors who luckily were still open so we rushed down with her before they shut! After a little check, the doctor said she had a throat infection, which figures as me and Elise have had a sore throat with this damned cold! She also has thrush on her tongue so shes on antibiotics for the throat and drops for the thrush! He also listened to my chest and gave me antibiotics as well as steroids as he said i have a wheeze like i have asthma which i arent aware that i have got, so he has advised me to go see the asthma nurse! So me and Elexis are a right pair atm on the meds, she does love the taste of the meds though bless :D After we got home from the doctors she wasnt too bad and managed to sleep for longer periods of time as she was only managing half hour stints through the day, she woke for a feed at 4am ish and was wide a bloody awake just staring at me trying to babble something  she looked so cute and content...not suprised really...her nappy was full...yep another bottom explosion had occured without my knowing
So far so good this morning, shes happily sleeping on her swing after having her meds so fingers crossed her sore throat is easing up.

well Elexis had a half and half day yesterday, she slept pretty much most of the day, good 2-3 hour naps! Come 6pm she was wide awake and didnt go to sleep while 10pm last night  eventually i just laid her on the sofa, the cat came and took prime position at the side of her, she was reaching out and rubbing his fur (sometimes pulling chunks out lol) then when i next looked she was sparko'd! Kinda thought she might not wake until about 12ish for a feed seen as though she had been awake for so long, took her up to bed at 11 and ten minutes later she was awake for a feed! i then fed her at 12, 1:30am, 3am and then the next thing i knew she was severly choking so me and OH jumped outta bed, i grabbed her and flung her over my shoulder and she was fine then, i then realized that the snot from her nose must have gone down the back of her throat as she was so snotty! So i sat in bed with her asleep in my arms for a bit (this was 6am btw so doing really well for sleep here lol) decided to go downstairs at 6:15am to put her in her swing to finish her sleep off and at least that way she would be upright and less able to choke on her snot! She woke for a feed then at 6:30am and took a good 4oz straight off :) thats ma girl! Hate her been ill, if shes still snotty tnite i may end up letting her sleep in the swing for the night or at least bumping one end of the matress up for her head so shes not so flat!

Seems i also have a visit from the HV tomorrow too :) so my little chunk will be weighed no doubt, lets see how far out my amateur weighing was

Elise was also a very well behaved little girl yesterday, very helpful indeed, tidied her bedroom and helped me out when i needed it...good job really as OH's head was a shed, right stress head he was yesterday, didnt help that mum came to visit with my 4 year old tear away half bro who likes to make a mess as soon as he enters the room and poor OH had just done all the house work after taking a trek into town and heaving a massive bag of dog food home! was quite funny wathcing him following the kids round picking bits of paper up etc...now he knows how i felt when i was pregnant and before that, cleaning up constantly after him and Elise

Well our little miss slept lovely all day yesterday, we also had lots of smiles from her for different people, her nanna and aunt came to visit and she smiled at both of them when they spoke to her, she smiled at Elise and her daddy...but not for me :( grrr, although this morning when she woke i did get a nice big lovely grin from her...never hae the camera at the bloody ready though!

Last night she was a little poo head again, woke for a feed at 5:30 pm (ish) and we didnt get her to sleep while just gone 10pm she was very restless and ratty and it was hard work, dont know why shes doing it tbh, you can see how shattered she is in her eyes, its like shes fighting sleep, trying to make her self super tired for bed time! I went up to bed ay 11:10pm and missus woke at 12:15am, then 1:30am, then 3:30am and 4:30am and 5:30am...bloody hourly the little bugger! didnt seem to be half as tired though for some reason while i was doing the feeds, maybe my body is finally getting used to these sleepless night  she was very snotty when she woke at 5:30am though i think she was getting a bit peeved tbh poor kid! Shes not too chuffed when i squeeze those saline drops up her nose either, hope she gets better soon!

Oooh also yesterday, OMG it was awful but hilarious at the same time, she had been thrusting for some time and been on the colief her poo is usually quite runny, but when i took a peak in her nappy it was a little more solid than usual, i left her 10 minutes before changing her as usually she squeezes a bit more out, anyway, the nappy came off and i began to wipe her bum when all of a sudden she started to poo, it was like yellow mr whippy, i was that way out anyway getting the giggles so me and Elise were having a chuckle about it, after she had finished pushing i started to wipe again although this time it was like her bum was a water pistol and the poo just shot out, i managed to shove the nappy up really quickly and waited another few minutes before trying again, when i did start to clean her up she literally fired poo at me, it missed me and went all over the sofa...well that was it, i was crying with laughter and thats not good when your trying to clean a bum explosion with blurred vision! Lesson learnt, leave her half hour at least before contemplating a change of nappy

My little princess slept so well again yesterday, i even managed to get an hour in myself as OH is off work sick for 2 weeks (poor me...he's getting on my last wick as it is not helping out with Elexis, he may just be well and truly throttled by the end of week one :wall2: )
5pm arrived, I looked at Lexi...eyes wide open and me and OH just laughed, shes like bloody clock work...it had arrived...the good old witching hour! Managed to get her to sleep for 8:30pm, but by 9:30pm she was wide awake again, i fed her and tbh for the next hour she just sat contently in my arms and never made a muff! I took her to bed near on 11pm and she didt wake for a feed while 12, then it was 2:30am then 5:30am i decided for once not to get up at 5:30 so we didnt actually get up while 7:30am, i actually felt like i got some sleep last night  either that or i'm just getting used to the sleepless nights now!

We had the HV yesterday, Lexi is weighing in at 11lb so mums scales are so wrong, glad really as they were showing i weighed more than the doctor had said a few week back! Her length and head circumference were all good and the HV was happy with her progress! Just at a loss at the mo as i spoke to her re the colic and a possible change to comfort milk, she said to probably stick with colief as its more effective, but that means me going to the docs every week for it on prescription, dont know whether just to try her on the comfort milk and take her off the colief and see how we get on or what! Also with the colief, once you put the drops into the milk you have to leave it for half hour shaking it occasionally, thats no good when little miss wants her bottle like now! At least with the comfort milk its there for her more or less straight away! Well were at the docs today about her reflux so i may mention it to him and see what he thinks!

Aww bless poor Elliott :( hope he is better soon! I've just been to the docs today, got more colief and some gaviscon but you have to make it up in no less than 225ml...thats near on 8oz and Elexis only ever does 4oz max...thats gonna be a hell of a lot of waste so just gonna see how she goes without it first :/
Our Lexi suffers really bad with farts too, so embarrasing in the docs waiting room this aft, her farting away, sure people thought it was me  We seem to have gotten off lightly with the witching hour tonight too haha! She was asleep by 8pm, shes still snoozing now...which might be a bad thing so fingers crossed she still sleeps for us tonight!

xx
