And then there were 2 :)

Hello lovely
great to see you back! whats been happening? how are you and kids and oh?

Was meant to post yesterday but OH was quick to pinch the laptop! Sorry for been away for so so long too, we really have hit rock bottom financially its been horrid hence why the internet was cut off, managed to find a better deal with another provider any how!

So a quick update is in order i think:

Elexis still isnt sleeping well, we have managed to get her down to 2 bottles a day, she has one before bed and then one through the night, shes finally taking a dummy so thats helping immensely. She has 3 teeth already, cut her first tooth at 8 and a half months, shes literally just learned how to grind the buggers too :s eee, not nice! She is also finally crawling as of 9 months old, at 8 month and 3 week she pulled herself up into the standing position and continues to try and do this on a daily basis, in fact she would rather be holding your hands walking around the room than crawling about wrecking the place! Were still seeing the HV and pediatrician, all to do with her weight  shes roughly around 24lb now but tbh she looks in proportion to me, she seems to have lost some of the weight deffo around her face etc, so im not worried, she eats well and healthily and thats all that matters! She says mamma and dadda now as well as Ta when she wants something or if you give her something, she was saying ta long before mamma or dadda haha! She has also learned to wave now so when i say hello or bye bye and wave at her she does it back, sometimes on a night when she wakes up i'll watch her on the monitor and she lays on her belly waving at the monitor, im sure she knows im watching haha!

Were currently all full of cold, so we had Elise in bed with us last night as her temp was sky high, doctors for her today as she has also had a headache for 3 days! Elise has to wear glasses now too, just for reading and writing etc, but shes happy about it and picked some lovely bright pink hello kitty glasses out :) i also thought it best to get my eyes checked as i know i should wear glasses for certain things so i got me some lovely new specs too :D

We have a lovely family holiday planned for next month, OH's sister has paid as her partners mum died and they inherited a fair amount, so that was a nice surprise, its just a week at butlins at skegness but it will do us the world of good after all the shite we have had to put with lately!

I am also going to the Big Reunion concert...in 4 bloody weeks :D so so excited about that, was a shuuuuge 5ive fan when i was a teeny bopper so will be fab to relive my youth with some of my closest childhood friends, i had to beg steal and borrow to go, im sure dads good for it though, he has a little stash hehe!

So yeah, thats that for now, i cant really think of anything else to be honest!

Hope All is well with everyone, ive bloody well missed this place :D feel free to fill me in on anything i might have missed, after been gone for 3 months i think it would take me a life time to catch up on all the threads lol

Hey deedee! Welcome back sweetheart. We missed you!

Sorry you have had a rough time financially. Sounds like lexi is doing great though!!! Meri doesn't weigh much less than that! She was 21lb at her 9 month check. She's tall though so quite well in proportion.

She's doing well standing and crawling! Meri is still in no hurry to move.

Glad you and your little family are doing ok and it's nice you have a few things to look forward to!

Great to have you back!

Loads of love x

Hooray, sorry youve been having money worries, its so difficult isnt it. Last year i really was on a shoe string and waering thermals in the house and haveing baths at mums. Hope that things get better and OH gets better and a better job.
How are you? New specs!

Its a nightmare at the minute, i had to go see citizens advice as we are struggling to pay bills and live as OH's benefit has been stopped so he has just submitted his appeal and we should start getting some money again as soon as they receive that and hopefully back pay to when they stopped his money (without any prior warning may i add) luckily my landlord is a diamond and hes fine about the rent arrears, said just to keep making regular payments and they will soon come down! OH deffo wont be working for a long while i dont think, he has been having some really tough days, i guess the situation with finances doesnt help!

As for me, i am full of cold still, i'm on to my 6th day of this god damn bug, my throat feels like its being stabbed by loads of little needles every time i swallow, my nose is constantly blocked but running at the same time and i have woken this morning to a wonderful chesty cough  lovely! Glad Elise has another week off school yet and hopefully some warmer weather wants to be making an appearance so this horrible bugs can do one...give me hayfever anyday haha!

Spammy - Merri sounds like shes doing fab, Lexi is also tall for her age, when people ask me how old she is and i tell them they cant believe it they think she is older than she is haha! Shes back at the pediatrician next week for a follow up app, hopefully will be the last one! Shes hard work now, trying to keep up with her, she knows where shes not allowed to crawl as she gets to a certain point, looks back at me and then tries legging it really quickly, its really funny to watch lol! Just wish she would start sleeping through, zzzzz!!

Aww she's gorgeous deedee! And she's definitely slimmed down loads! Which is inevitable when she's crawling around. She looks perfect and so happy bless her x

Wss, she must have shot up as she looks less cuddly than she did! She looks like a littke girl now more than a littke baby! Soooo cute!

Love the waving photo! Xxx

Thanks ladies, she waves so funny bless her :D these babies grow far too quickly :( Just over 10 weeks and she will be one, i have no idea where the time has gone!

We had a really bad night with her last night even though her cough isnt interrupting her sleep any more! She went up at 6:30pm as she was knackered and whingy, had a bottle and went straight to sleep, but then woke after half an hour and then woke a further 4 times up until 9pm, she slept for just over an hour then and then i seemed to be in and out with her every 30 minutes, OH took over for a bit at one point because im full of cold, my throat kills and my chest hurts like a bitch :( but i ended up being wide awake listening to OH deal with her, basically we went in, settled her, got back in bed and 5 minutes later she would start crying out, in the end we left her to whinge a little instead of going in after every little murmur! She did get a little better through the night, think at one point she went 2 hours, but it wasnt great! Something needs to give with her sleeping, need to change how we do things maybe, its not good for anyone getting near on zero sleep, she went through a really good stage of just waking 2-3 times a night, and for some reason lately shes reverted back to waking God knows how many times, its tiring! So thats my little Monday morning moan! Got a tonne of washing and ironing to contend with today boo hoo! I just dont have the energy tbh but i must make a start, been super lazy these school holidays!

Happy Monday ha! xxx

Sorry youve all had a bad night hun :( its no fun is it! LO is waking again in the night, but thankfully not as much as your little Lexi!!

Hope your cold goes soon!! Xx

Thanks babyem, gonna try some sleep training i think, need to keep a diary for a week of her sleeping habits and then were gonna try scheduled awakening, i'm not a fan of crying it out, i couldnt sit and listen to her crying for me for ages, it would kill me, so i have a few things to try tat are alternative ways, also gonna try her with some different snacks before bedtime which are supposed to help her sleep such as banana and dairy products, tried porridge and a bottle before bed last night, she usually has her bottles in bed at bedtime but i'm trying to break that habit and get her to sleep without a bottle, the night before last we tried it and she just cried, even me shushing her and stroking her hand didnt help so i gave in, but i tried again last night and she fell asleep without a bottle, she didnt stay asleep long mind, but i gave her water instead and she was back off.

Yesterday she pulled herself up into the standing position on my legs and then managed to walk down the settee and to the nest of tables holding on, i think we have a cruiser on our hands lol, i was really shocked tbh, in fact at one point yesterday she pulled herself up and then let go and stood alone for a few seconds before realizing and then falling back into my arms lol! I'm sure she will be walking in no time :D

Elise was so naughty yesterday, she had such a bad day! I'm at the end of my tether with her tbh, she talks to me like im something on the bottom of her shoe, doesnt do as shes told, when shes on the wii shes just nasty and horrible to me and Elexis, we started a good behaviour chart but thats come down as at the end of each week it was always on the red angry face! Yesterday she was in the bath OH went up stairs and he said he could see water splashing out of the bathroom door onto the landing, went into the bathroom and it was like a swimming pool  if he tells her off she listens and doesnt back chat etc, with me its like im just a joke to her! She really is hard work at the moment, i hope its just a phase that she will grow out of like very very soon!

Anyway, off i go, get this house in order and make some phone calls to try and get our finances in check! Wish me luck!

xx

Oooh also forgot to update, we were at the pediatrician yesterday morning, her weight has gone down and shes now following a centile steadily for once haha, and her weight is on the 91st centile so thats steady too, he has no concerns about her, said shes developing well, has no issues and that he was happy to discharge her :yay: i knew she was fine all along but i guess its good that shes been kept an eye on and ive been fortunate enough to get her weighed more than usual :D so hopefully next HV app we get she will see that theres nothing wrong and also sign us off!

That is all :D xx

Well hooray that shes been signed off, just shows that you were right all along which is great and how fab to watch her take those first steps. but boo to hear that her sleeping is not good and you are struggling with Lexi. Hope you two can have a fun day and an proper chat about why shes playing up and whats going on, is she ok at school at the moment.

Hope you all get some good sleeps and calmer days
Happy thursday how did it go with citizens advice?

Hope the sleep diary goes well hun!! Im gonna pinch your idea about trying porridge before bed, hopefully it will help LM to sleep through again!! I think shed go on strike or Id have a riot on my hands if I try and stop her bedtime bottle now, she loves her milk!!

Aww clever girly Alexis!! Great news that shes standing and starting to walk!

Elise sounds like a right little monkey!! Haha!

And great news about her being discharged from the hospital!!

I've tried to speak to her about her behaviour before Daisy, she says theres nothing wrong,i even spoke to her teacher in case something was happening at school which i wasnt aware of and she said everythings fine there, she gets on well with everybody etc! I dont know why she has such a problem with me, maybe its because i'm the firm parent, the one tat dishes out punishment etc, who knows!

Citizens advice went well, she told me the ins and outs of bailiffs etc just in case, luckily we havent got that far with our problems as of yet, she gave me a number to ring who will tell us what we should be claiming and they can also advise on grants etc. I have an app on tues to see their debt specialist, try and get some of these people off my back, i tried asking them if i could lower payments for now, there was only british gas that reduced my payments from 40 a fortnight to 20 a fortnight (i have debt thats why my gas is so bloody high) so yeah, it was worth while, i needed to do at as me and OH were talking about splitting up and living apart as we couldnt afford to live how we were and i knew i would get more on my own, it was more for the kids as i felt we couldnt provide for them as we would like to, luckily our families have been awesome and helped out so much and i feel like after talking with CA that we dont have to go down that route thank God!

Hope the sleep diary goes well hun!! Im gonna pinch your idea about trying porridge before bed, hopefully it will help LM to sleep through again!! I think shed go on strike or Id have a riot on my hands if I try and stop her bedtime bottle now, she loves her milk!!

The sleep diary has been quite interesting up to press, both nights even though last night she was in bed half hour earlier, she woke at 8:55pm bang on, so if that carries on i know for scheduled awakening i have to gently wake her at 8:25pm. Its a good idea with the porridge, bananas are supposed to be great too, or anything dairy, might ply Elexis with cheese, she loves the stuff haha! Its been hard getting Elexis down on bottles through the night, she was having one every hour to 2 hours, i ended up giving her a drink of weak dilute or water in place of a bottle (although she really isnt keen on water) and it seems to have worked, we got her to sleep in her cot last night without her bottle again :yay: i think its been helping giving her it literally before i carry her up when she looks shattered, been taking her up when she looks zonked too rather than setting a bedtime as that wasnt working for us!

And yes, Elise certainly is a monkey! really hard work at times but i love her loads still lol!

xx

Last nights sleep went better than the night before, we had a total of 17 wake ups Tuesday night, last night it was 13, so its gone down, i hope that i will start to see less wake ups as the week goes by! really need to start getting some sleep in! Bit miffed with OH tbh, i have been absolutely full of cold for over a week now, aching all over, sore throat, coughing my guts up, headache...and he hasnt done the night awakenings with Lexi once :wall2: if it was the other way around i would of offered seeing him so ill but he hasnt offered once! Sometimes i wish CA would of agreed with me that it would of been best for him to move out, at least i wouldnt get angry about him not helping that way as he wouldnt be there anyway. Gets me so frustrated!!!

Anyway...24days and counting until theeee Big Reunion  i really cannot wait, going with some really good mates too so were gonna make a night of it, OH will have no option but to do Lexi's awakenings ha!

Anyway, off i go to clean Lexi's choccy muffin mess up...we got some mini ones yesterday and sheesh they are mini, i can put a whole one in my gob at once haha, so perfect size for little lady's chops :D

Happy Thursday xxx

Omg, 13 times a night?!! You are supermum for sure, I thought 3-5 times a night was bad enough! I will remember you when Im waking in the night with LM and tell myself off for whinging!! It could be worse!! Its good that youve seen an improvement already though!! Lets hope it carries on!!

Im definitely gonna try the water in the night, SIL told me to try it and never bothered but after hearing how well Alexis has done, I will be trying it tonight :)

Sounds like shes enjoyed her choccy muffins!!

Maybe Elise is just testing her boundaries to see how much she can get away with? Which obv isnt much as you sound like youre doing fab!! I think Mums always get it harder off kida when they grow up!!

Sorry youre feeling so poorly :( hope you feel better soon hun!!

Im sooo jealous about the big reunion!!!! I love b*witched!! Xx

tapatalking x

It was more times the night before haha! i think im just used to it now, she used to wake every hour for a feed before

Yeah i think Elise does like to test the boundaries, sometimes i feel like breaking down as i really dont know how to deal with her behaviour and attitude at time but i carry on and dont let her see that!

Haha re the big reunion, i liked b*witched too...my fave was 5ive though, was a massive fan, was in the official fan club and everything  shame there wont actually be 5 of them there but watching them on ITV2 the other week doing their first gig they actually sounded great without J so i'm happy :D

Last nights routine consisted of, bath at 5pm supper of scrambled egg and toast at 6:45pm followed by a small bottle, managed to keep her awake until 9pm, i gave her a bottle while i got her sleeping bag on (she held it herself lol) and then took her up, she cried when i put her in her cot so i shushed her and stroked her hand and she went off without another bottle. Last night we were up a total of 7 times, she went 3 hours between waking up on 2 occasions, for the past 2 nights she has woke near on 4am and not settled straight back off so last night when she woke at that time i gave her a feed and she settled straight back off, so i'm thinking that the 4am wake up is when she needs a bottle, i held off giving her one until then :) so yay...we had a better night!

Friday at last, better start getting Elises uniform in order ready for monday, i think i'm ready for her to go back to school now haha, boredoms such a bitch when it comes to kids.

Oh dear, better go, My little monkey has hold of the sudocrem tub and has somehow managed to get the lid off, her hands are just white  no idea how shes done that lol, little terror she is hehe!

What a rubbish weekend i've had! OH's benefits are still pending so we havent had anything from them in over a month, thats £111 down a week!! He rung them Friday, they gave us a number to ring to to get some food and fuel vouchers, so he rung them, to be told that we dont qualify as we receive enough money to live on  what!!?? And then the guy said, do we want to be referred to social services!!!! Ha...dont bloody think so! So OH asked his sister who lives in London if we could lend something from them, she said yes and transferred us some cash into my account friday night...to which still hasnt gone in, all the details have been triple checked and they are right so God knows whats happened there! So mums ended up having to lend us a little bit to get us by until wednesday! I originally asked my brother and his girlfriend and rather than saying no they just ignored me which riled me it was so blatant that they were ignoring me, and then my brothers gf was off with OH when he spoke to them the next day...i mean seriously what is there problem!!! I dog sat for mum yesterday, had my 2 kids and my little brother who is a terror especially when with Elise, some days they play good others they are a nightmare, we didnt have too much of a bad day, they played nice 80% of the time! OH was in a foul mood because of the money situation so it was nice to get away from him...i think the best part of the weekend was having a family night in front of the tv, Elise was so well behaved so we allowed her to stay up :) made a lovely change! My friend knew about our money situation and bless her she popped by at tea time yesterday with a bottle of wine for me as she was going out...so needless to say i feel rather rough this morning lol!

On a good note Lexi had a decent night, she went to bed at 8:15pm and only woke 5 times, her longest stint was from around 11 until 4am and she wasnt ready to get p while 8:30 this morning :D so glad she let me have a decent-ish sleep...it was duly needed!!

The school holidays are almost over too...so looks like today will consist of getting the uniform ready and feeling sorry for my hungover self! OH better make a delish dinner to soak up that wine...i think i could happily eat all day today

xxx

Well we had a reasonably good night with missus last night in comparison to other nights!

She was in the bath at 6pm, bottle at 6:30pm and then some porridge at 7:30pm, gave some more bottle at 8:00pm as i was getting her sleeping bag on and then straight up after she had had enough, she was fast asleep by 8:15pm, she woke at 9:35pm and then next woke at 1am, i held off giving her a feed for as long as possible but when it got to 2am and id been up and down 4 times to settle her i thought it was probably a good time for a feed so i gave in and she slept until 6:30am, gave her another feed and shes still in the land of nod as we speak! So even though it sounds harsh been up so many times from 1-2am the good part was having that nice block of sleep from 2 until 6:30am as usually my blocks of sleep last and hour or 2 if i'm lucky!

Yesterday she was well and truly on one, her confidence with standing now is phenomenal, theres no hesitation to pull herself up now, she just does it and stands there proud as punch, shes even been as brave as to let go  granted she hasnt lasted too long and ended up on her bum, but now she thinks standing up and falling back onto her bum is a game, as well as crawling under mummys legs  She does make me chuckle!

Gonna have to get a bath mat or something for in the bath too, shes noticed the butterflies on the tiles and tried to slap them which results in her sliding all over and ending up on her back, i manage to catch her 99% of the time and the water is only very shallow so its not so bad but it kills my back been bent over the bath for so long making sure this slippery slidy baby doesnt fall over lol!

Anyway, better get my darling daughter ready for school, shes looking forward to going back and wearing her glasses hehe! Bless her!

Hope everyone has a lovely Monday!

xx
