I think as long as you don’t go on wild benders it’s safe in moderation
 
@sev, cutting caffeine is definitely going to be harder for me than alcohol. I have reduced my intake - was also a 5+ a day habit. Now generally two (strong!) coffees in the morning, then decaf from there, but know I'll need to reduce further if/when I fall.

It’s been a struggle! Had to ween myself because when I tried going cold-turkey I ended up becoming a verbally abusive monster. Really great now that I’ve gotten down to just drinking tea, my sleep is better and I stopped getting weird heart-rhythms. Have you noticed any differences after cutting down your cups of joe?

TMI: I really miss my morning poos though... Wasn’t so fun for my bowls to stop coffee-drinking. Guess I can amend that with more fiber in my diet though... :lol:

Hehe, you made me giggle. I have IBS, so for sure can see a difference in my gi tract. Cutting caf has benefitted my sleep quality, and notice I now sleep fitfully if I drink coffee in the afternoon.
I know its all psychological, but agree I'd be a monster, and totally unproductive at work without my morning coffee
