If someone has had chemo that may make them infertile and has been told that the nhs don't then check your sperm post chemo to see if there is any or not - how do you go about getting this done?
I assume you look for a private clinic? Do you get GP referral or just call yourself? How much does this cost very roughly??

Thanks girls xx

I guess it depends where you are. I had referral from.my GP to a fertility clinic when i needed progesterone but i.imagine you can self refer for SA?

Just looked up.on the website of the clinic i used and it says £75 for SA but i.imagine you would need a consultation too

Thanks hun, that's great. I thought it would be hundreds!
I really thought the nhs would test in this circumstance but no. Never mind xxx

Sounds weird, should they not offer freezing sperm before the treatment too?

Thanks girls, just glad we had our last lo when we did.
Just found out that it's £105 for sperm analysis at our local clinic x

So sorry cos I really hope hes on the mend soon darling x

Cos - make sure the clinic doesn't insist on a consultation with a consultant as well as the SA as the consultataion can be couple hundred quid upwards.

I'm really sorry to read this cos xxx :hugs: xxx
